  • Since the box is so much smaller than the pros grow I added a extra line of eyelets around the bottom for training each branch. Once they get close to the edges of my tent walls I’ll let them turn upwards..You can see what I did with one of my airbags to act as a filter. More than likely I won’t recirculate the same water, it it’s there just in case. I moved everything out of my tent that took up room on the floor to give me maximum room for growth. Both myheater and fan will hang. On the floor will be the box, my CO2 bottle, and my water/nute resivour. It’ll have the pump in it. I’ll run a slow drip on 6. According to the dudes journal he didn’t use a lot of water, but he was growing a photo. Anyway, I think it’ll be dope, pardon the pun, that we both do my training box fluxing design.

    I found the post or email you sent me with step x step thanks bud check out my finished journal I'm bout to work on getting it moved to the finished grow journals page but you can see on my journal now have a good night bro.
    I did everything in finished oak 3/4” plywood. Since I have a small tent I designed it for my use. I’ve been reading on flux training for months,so here you go.
    End piece is 10-1/2” across at the top, 7” down each side. I went 15degree angle to center where center is 8-1/2”.
    I cut the sides at 22”X7” and screwed to the outside of the end pieces.
    The two bottom pieces were angle cut at 15 degrees on each side and pin nailed to sides and screwed to ends.
    This left me with a 1/8”-3/16” opening along the center on the bottom trough. I rolled up paper towel and shoved it in the center on each end and added glue top and bottom many times from the ends to 5-6” in. This left me with a 10” gap along the center for drainage. I then did 3 coats of polyurethane everywhere. For the center slit I dumped the polyurethane a bunch there and used a piece of cardboard to coat it all and was able to keep the gap. If I wasn’t in a rush I woulda just polyurethanes the whole thing before assembling it all, it it was cold in my shop.
    When I built the legs I just made it high enough for a bread pad to keep underneath as the water resivour.
    I then predrilled ever 1-5/8” around the box 1/2” down starting from center out for the eyelets. On my box I have 4 on each end and 10 on each side.
    Im going to sacrifice one of my air bags and cover the drainage slit to filter my water and not get soil in my pan.
    Send me a message tomorrow to remind me and I’ll take a bunch of specialty pix for you and you can print them out maybe and write the measurements everywhere. I figure after the first month it’ll be trained enough where I can just rely on the drip system. I’m planing on putting 6 droppers evenly spaced on a super low setting.
    Depending on the size of your grow area is the size of the box you could actually build. I just basically went from pictures and journals I’ve read on fluxing. Here’s a few pix of what I’m going for. You have plenty of time to build yours and we’ll show these other guys what’s what. I’m also going to send you a link to my favorite journal from 420 mag in another mail.

    Thanks bud I appreciate it I posted my final yield tonight it was pretty nice after dried came to 270 grams 9 oz's about a 1/4 lb. per plant.
    Being a fellow construction worker I thought you might like this. I built a custom flux lst box for the competition. I, of course, forgot my fine tip marker in my shop for the final touch up on my lettering. It’s 12”X22”X7” on the sides with a 15 degree angle on the bottom for drainage. Center of drain is 3/16”X10” in the center that I’m covering with 300ml fabric for filtration. I put 10 eyelets along each side and 4 on each end for all my training. I’m installing a circulation pump with a drip system. All I really have left to do is start doing coats of polyurethane after I finish the lettering. If you want I can send you the basic plans I drew up for a build for your closet grows. I’ve done a ton of reading over the past year for ppl like us that done have a ton of room for indoor growing. My engineering brain took over and came up with this design. Since your out of town a lot and once the basic training is done it can take care of itself. You were the first person I thought of while designing mine. Hope your doing good buddy. Your harvest looks great!
