First Time Grower - overcoming mistakes

Oooh WOW your Right.
They have websites for medical seeds.
I did not know that.
This is what I'm looking for.
So thanks for that so much appreciated 👍
This will help out A lot So so much now.
Very cool.

That's a very inaccurate reading. You haven't calibrated your phone like you should do.
At the very most that light cannot do more than 900PPFD at 12 inches but more likely 800PPFD. I could look it up for you but that's something you need to learn to do.

read what wayzee says at 7;37 also i think you said you wanted to top after the 2nd node and 6th i think after the 2nd node is to early and the person who told you this was talking about the 2nd round of topping. you should re-read it

The way it was explained to me was that during lights on photosynthesis is the plants main function. In photosynthesis the plant uses light and water to create ATP and NADPH which allows the plant to synthesize carbohydrates. Carbohydrate synthesis is a product of the aformentioned chemicals and CO2. At lights off the plant stops photosynthesizing and begins to distribute the energy it made during photosynthesis so that when the lights come back on it has the energy close enough to access to continue photo and carbohydrate synthesis uninterrupted. Energy/Food distribution happens when lights are on also as the plant requires but its main function is photosynthesis.

Not quite. Some topping is good to induce more lateral branching but too much will spread out the energy too much and you'll get a lot of smaller buds. Not terrible if volume is your aim because at the end of the day more dry weight is a good thing but if you're trying to grow big, beautiful colas you want to try and limit some of your pruning techniques that will thin out energy access.

Cinderella 99 on Left And Hollywood OG on Right.
Both at 28 days today into flower.
So they look Good?

What I'm seeing is a bit too bright a light causing accelerated nutrient uptake depleting the rhizo of nutrient ions. The drooping leaves may be from lack of water but the leaf tips pointing down along with some of the top water leaves tacoing tells me the light energy may be driving growth so fast that the rhizo can't keep up. This is another way you could be having yellowing even though the plant is healthy. Basically too much of a good thing.

pH could also be it but I'm leaning more towards too much lighting. OP are you monitoring the light energy raining down on your plants?

So they will get bigger.! Yeah and I'm just starting to notice the smell from them, I can't wait until week 6-9 , the smell then.! I'm looking forward to them being done , I hope they are high in THC.
I'm so glad and it's pretty easy I just wish I would have gotten bigger pots for em. But next time
Today is exactly 28th day week 4 starting. So still a ways ahead of me. So I'm excited. Yes.

What is your average temperature inside the tent at lights on?

Just an FYI but terpenes, the compounds that attribute to flavor and smell along with helping THC get you higher, will begin to evaporate at around 70°.
This is why a lot of growers like to lower the temperature of their grow the last few weeks before harvest to preserve as much terpene as they can for more flavorful smoke.

The smell you are smelling are terpenes evaporating. Not bad just thought I'd explain what and how that happens.

After week 6 I've noticed most cultivars flowers stop growing as fast and seem to be concentrating more on building THC, Cannabanoids, etc. The swell I see happen usually starts around week 8 - 9 so although the flower won't get all that much longer it will get fatter.

Well in the house it's 68 Degrees.
But lately been in 75s.
This week it's in 65s at night.
And when it gets warmer my father said he'll turn the AC on.
So I hope I'm okay.
So the cooler it is during last stages of flower will get more high THC ..
Okay that's good to know..
Thanks. I'll do my best at keeping it cool at night and during day.
Thanks RootsRuler.!

And I have them in the corner of my room On a flower stand. With Drywall boards around the 3 sides, so light not in my eyes when I'm in my bedroom. So it's kind of ghetto lol . Yeah so. I have my window open and it's 60s tonight so. I'm trying and keep the temperature in the low 70's. I'm do my best. This my first time growing inside. My next I will have a tent. But this until harvest is what I'm dealing with. And my light socket will not let me use a timer so I have to plug em in every morning at 8am and night at 8pm. So it's a little difficult. Next time this will not happen. So yeah really ghetto I guess my house is like built in the 1940s so yeah. But other than that I'm doing pretty good.

And I put a blanket to keep em from getting light like a tent sort of with the drywall boards lol. At night time. So it all works out perfectly. I bet I'm the only kid in USA doing this shit lol putting blankets over drywall boards and flower stand grow tent lol. It works. And keeps em perfectly dark and I can open a part like a tent and vent it for cool air at night time with my window open tonight, said to be 65 degrees
. How cool shall I keep it. And you said in week 6 -9 . I'm at exactly 4 Now. So I still have a ways to go. Or don't I ?
Please lmk n thanks.

hey tom you do know that they make socket to plug adapters that you can plug a timer into right? like 5 bucks at any hardware store or h.d.

Yeah I bought two different kinds and they still don't work in my socket. My bedroom is from the 1940s and I guess they don't work with my bedroom. Last time I'm growing in here lol

How come the top big leaves are starting to wilt a little.
Is it because the led light is too close to it?
So I moved em down a little bit. I'm not sure ?

I know why they turned a little bit yellow the leaves is because I water them a little to much at first then I stopped. But my big leaves on top are like drying up. And I have no idea why except the heat from the light maybe?
