First Time Grower - overcoming mistakes

But that's not something anybody can really answer. The website will give you an idea of the range you can expect from different setups and veg time. There in lies the answers
 
Can you place them somewhere where you can supply supplemental lighting? I would also talk to your dispo and find out who the breeder is. Maybe you can be in contact with them and when you are ready they can provide fresh cuts.

They only got to be about both 24" tall.

I did the best I could without top or LST them. So and grew them only for like a month on Veg . So I don't expect much. Today is 15th on Flower. So I hope they get 3x as big I might get 2 ozs from each.
But yeah they doing good so far. This my first time.
Next I'm buying One clone or auto and growing it for 90plus days on 20hrs light a day, and top and LST my next flower I choose. With a Vivosun grow tent. So it'll be a lot more fun. But I'm learning a lot as I go. This my first indoor grow. So wish me Luck.

Yea that looks heaps better man. Are you able to download a ppfd meter app on your phone? Could you possibly get your light a bit closer to the canopy?
 
Yeah I can always get the light closer to the flowers. I did download a ppfd meter. And on one flower it's like 1100 and other like about 1200. And the led light is exactly 12" from the flowers. Can I put it any closer?
 
I actually raised the stand 6" with bricks I bought at Lowe's.
Thinking they were going get bigger.
But I totally messed up by not putting on big enough Pot, and I did not Top it or Lst them. So I was very un-educated when I started them out of the blue.
My next run will be in a Vivosun tent and a feminized photo-period from seed I'm going to. So 20hr light for like 90 days maybe 75 days and see how big One can be under the 100W Vivo light I'm using now. Just so I can get the hours out of it. I will have it on a timer next run.

But these two Flowers right here will be done between July 5th and July 12th. So then I'll be planning on my next run around then.
And in mean time learning how to grow them from seeds now and more about growing a bigger flower my next run.
So I'm learning.!

sorry to butt in tom, everything i'm reading is saying 18/6 lighting i don't know if the extra 2 hrs. is gonna help. i,m pretty sure if you go thru the website you'll find the info on this
 
Wowzer I wouldn't have guessed that ppfd. If that's accurate then I wouldn't bring it closer. I think you will have a great run next time round with a tent set up and better light reflection and all the research you're doing although it can be quite conflicting at times, that where you may have to work out what works best for you...
Photo periods will give you more time and forgiveness to have a play with training and topping. I usually only top twice with my indoors ( top it after 4-5 nodes let the new tops ( plural) grow out a couple more nodes and top/tip again)and outdoors I repeat this step up to 6 times.

I did not know I could top two times.
So I can top twice, after the 2nd node after the 6th node.
That's cool. I didn't even know. Yeah I'm talking with my Mom about my next setup. I'll be starting in August. And she's up for me to do it in her dining room. So all me and Mom will have do is water them.
So I'm hoping my next flower will yield a lot bigger and better.
I'm wondering how do you grow medical marijuana?
I can't find anywhere to how to grow Medical Marijuana. Which I smoke Medical Marijuana because I have a medical card here in Michigan.
But yeah do you know how to do that?
Because that marijuana is the Best.
medical is way better than Recreational.
 
Yeah and my ppfd readings are correct.
I have a pretty good phone.
So I'm Glad I'm doing everything Good so far.
And I just googled how to top twice marijuana plant. And it showed me. So cool.
 
Ductwizard - I thought you could and supposed to do 20hr light because this one guy on Reddit did it like that. And it worked.
But yeah I'll do 18/6 hr. Thanks for that, I still have a lot of reading to do!
 
Hopefully this sketch makes sense...
And as for 18-6 .. 20-4.... 24-0 this is one of those conflicting things I was talking about. Someone who does 20-4 will swear that their way is the best but others on 18-6 will disagree.
My thinking is plants do stuff in the dark so they need at least a couple of hours in complete darkness each day.

When you are looking for strains it should have if it a medical strain or not. I'd say something mainly indica with a couple of % of CBD would classify as medical.

I have diagnosed ADHD and PTSD* and find sativa dominants are better for my focus and mood.
*Not why I started smoking though, but it explains why I love it so much.
