Are you adding perlite to your canna coco -I hope. I use canna coco and mix 1 part perlite ( I like Vigoro brand with out nutrients in it!) to 3 parts coco.
Also I am very much for the BlueLab pH pen . I found the GH drops to be very misleading. Saved me a lot of grief. It’s expensive and has the 4 ans 7 calibrating solutions and a storage solution. Worth every penny.
good luck to you😀

Canna recommends clay pebbles at the bottom but nothing about perlite, though I see it recommended by growweedeasy and other places. Its also available and cheap, so that's not a problem.

I asked Advanced nutrients about needing additional calmag if i used their coco specific product and if i needed perlite. This was the reply:

"If the coco is being run properly (daily feed, drain to waste) you should not need extra cal/mg, particularly if you’re using a quality brand of coco. (avoid low grade compressed brick)

That being said, it never hurts to have cal/mg on hand, as you can foliar spray with it in veg and use it in other ways as well, like a tool in the toolbox, its nice to have it around.,

As far as perlite, usually you don’t need it. Over the years coco has had a rocky start in the north American market, because growers kept treating it like soil (watering every 2-3 days) which causes lockouts.

So Companies added perlite to make growers comfortable watering daily, even though growers in Europe had been doing it for years.

Coco on its own has a nice lignin structure and holds oxygen very well, there is no need for perlite in most cases."

As for the digital meter, that's probably the best option. Reviews are mixed on the cheaper ones, thats why id figured thec strips would be a more reliable cheap method.
i was planning on trying just plain tap water first. If i use reverse osmosis, am i guaranteed stable ph?

Huh...well....all I can say is I am experienced in coco...my feed here is rather lengthy but feel free to view pics.ni haso have journals posted. I am a total fan of coco, have done bricks, pre mixes etc. I am now with canna coco after platinumm Cyco coco.
i am not experienced with your nutrients...but will say:
calimagic for coco
perlite for coco esp since your pots seem to be thick in weave
and I personally have tap water @ 7-8 pH so I ph down every single feeding after the mixing) for a 6-6.1 pH
i can not speak for reverse osmosis either.
In anycase..I love coco growing and just thought I’d pipe in🤓

Welcome to the Forum! You might want to read through my 1st grow journal I started in Mid Dec and had to figure everything out myself and with the help of this forum. I have every item up to a month or so ago I bought listed with what at the time I tough was right. I have searched and read as much as I can but this group/site will help you along. Good Luck!

I appreciate the grow journals! I got the meijiu ordered finally as well as my seeds. Just need the rest of hardware and nutes.

I bought:

Mephisto- Chemdogging AUTO FEM
Mephisto-Northern Cheese Haze AUTO FEM
Dinafem - Dinamex AUTO FEM
Canuk- Amnesia AUTO FEM

I am totally with you on the Coco, still new but I am a definite of Coco. It is a bit of work to mix, but I don't have to have big bags of dirt around just mix up a few bricks and ready.

You will be really happy you ordered Auto's first, My first grow is still going from seeds I had and still has weeks to go. I have a Jack Herer Auto going in week 6 and it is about ready for the flower room. I could not believe how fast they grew.

Well look at what arrived! Its slowly coming together!
