Cloning solution

Just took two of my cuttings (had sat on the windowsill in tap water about a week) and cut a leaf off one of the Aloe-like plants I have. Cut strips at the end and then squeezed out the goodness and rolled my cuttings before popping in some perlite heavy Happy Frog. We'll see!

If you learn anything new please update the post someone will see it in time. I definitely will continue to follow and update my results as I get them. Thanks for the input happy growing

Poor thing I am glad you found something that works and I will have to give it try. After all it’s pretty easy to find Polk. I just want something to help her itching. There are sores and hair loss but overall I know she is miserable a lot. Thanks again for the advice

Please keep us updated. I am currently on day 4 using aloe. I tore the aloe in several pieces and stuck my cuttings inside a little piece of it and buried it in the soil that way. I also dipped in cinnamon but it’s more for protecting the cutting from certain fungus rather than for rooting. Though it’s supposed to help some with rooting. Not sure if I will try the kelp or aspirin next time probably kelp but intend to try as many as I can. Don’t have willow tree around so probably won’t do that one. Please update any results you may have

I just started a Tangycycle from a friend. Its a nice lower limb a bit into flower and I hope that dont last long as she is now under 16/8!

Then should look into cloning them. I read you can have pull branch down across ground while keeping it attached to mom till it roots. In case you are worried about cutting it. I don’t know much about it just read that when doing my search. I do plan to try cloning my roses though

I just watered my clones with a 3cc syringe of N tea per clone. 2 are in plugs the other 3 in my soil mix in 2x2 starter plastic pots. There under T5 and about 2wks old. The 2 plugs are the honey/clonex gel others are just clonex. They look good but do not see roots yet. I don't see any new growth so I hope it's just that I've looked at them to frequently and need to ignore them, must not overwater my clones :)

I'll be planting more today, could have yesterday but no time. I worked the soil they will go into (20 gallon smart pots, cept for 1 in a 7 gallon and 1 in a smaller pot to hermie). I will make some Rusty Glue Fem seed,,,

Edit; 5 of 7 are planted, 1 of those should have been done yesterday. So 5 out of 7 at 10 days, all look good. Oh ya I do use Voodoo Juice at plant time, and the next watering, I do see a difference.

Any chance you can post a pic of the ingridients or the label of the bottle? What is that juice supposed to do?

If you try it, do a second bath at 7-10 days, try not to get it in the eyes, but do the ears, and those areas you prefer not to touch. I would also reserve some to put in a spray bottle for small areas, and inside the ears. Inside his ears was the hard spot to cure,
We used about 1 gallon of polk root chunks to 2 gallons water, boil it down to 50%, strain and use. Good luck!

I normally downsize the image, I left this full size so maybe it can be read,, I am not a photographer, the camera gets all the praise!

Great thread.
I had 4/5 cuttings take root in about 10 -14 days in water only. Did another 5 and added willow tea to the water. These cuttings were taken well into flowering. 3/5 rooted in the same time frame 2 weeks approx.
Even tried to root a fan leaf. Nothing happened after 3 weeks so tossed it but was still green and alive but no roots.
I am building a homemade cloner from a 5 gal bucket and lid with an old aquarium air pump, 2 airstones, foam disks to hold the cuttings and will try the aloe for the next batch.
Now to figure out how to make a seedling dome.

BTW isn't aspirin made originally from willow?

Honey works just fine, I've used it on literally thousands of clones and it works just as well as any high priced product available.

There are literally 100’s of product’s that can potentially aid in cloning. I understand it’s not the original question, but water is all that is really needed.

High oxygen water will root clones faster than any other method......Guaranteed!!
