    • 10 thumbs up to you Cali i'm disgusted with the hypocrisy of California. I was born and raised there till i was 19 then moved north. I'm 65 now worked 43yrs. I and many many feel the same as you with the liberal handing out of unearned incomes.
Thank you, that is basically all I was trying to say. I am only 37 years old and have a lot to learn compared to you. Oregon is one place my wife and I have considered to move to but we have been here all our lives and our children (pre teens) are doing very well in school which makes me think twice about the move. With COVID and all they are back on track and loving life so I don’t want to make a move that can possibly disturb what they have going on.
 
Cali yo, just did a TLC test on some weed. That CBD c+c was the first, it tested 18% THC and 13% CBD.Not doubt lost a few point due to extensive Fox tailing and new growth that I had to delay harvest for so I’m not unhappy cause my sister likes it and so do I. Next time I’ll do better. Surprisingly, Seedsman Black Sugar tested up to 21%THC and @4% CBD. All good stuff.
 
The whole thing is crazy!! I can't even imagine a state can do it. I am honest when I say I couldn't live in a state that could even come up with it. Just crazy! And I live in an extremely liberal state! Just nuts.
 
I'm curious about this program that pays homeless $600. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work, did one of my internships working to help homeless find housing but have never heard of this. Most assistance comes through CalWorks but it is primarily for families and is temporary.
 
Thank you madman thank you :) i make cannabutter for baking and i generally add more sugar leaf trimmings really frosty leaf i've saved and frozen it's more leaf than bud which is primarily popcorn size broken up. Yes it can sneek up on you on empty stomach so test it slowly.

madman No problem. We live in a messed up world....some places are better than others and we all have our experiences.

As for cannabutter...I've made it a few times now. Brownies seem to be more popular but I've made rice crispy treats too and they turned out good. When making brownies, try to use a recipe (or box brownies) that calls for the most oil/butter.....💥💚
 
madman No worries, I did realize last night I opened a can of worms with my comments and I honestly didn’t mean to sound like I was complaining it was more of a joke to poke fun of our politicians. Some seem to catch what I meant others took it more serious. In all fairness to you all I should have said it was an interview of a man from out of state who (claims) he gets paid to be a bum in California because to be honest I didn’t look into all this man said so it could be a lie? With all that false news and such. Believe me I do care about people, I have a couple boxes my wife and I want to donate, currently looking to where I can take it because the local spot takes your donations and then sells them, I want to give it for free to those who need it. A few blocks from where I live my wife has seen a woman and children sleeping in their car. Looking to find them and hook them up. When I said some have all the means and I know for a fact is what I have experienced, I do understand a lot have mental issues, physical issues, but here is what I have experienced. Before I got in my trade I joined a s program to help locals get jobs in their community, they basically forced contractors to hire locals as part of their contract. When the recruiters came in once or more a month to call names to go to work a lot of the men there would either pretend they weren’t there or leave when they saw the recruiter coming. They had all the means to work but chose not to. They chose to get an the benefits they could without working that’s who I’m talking about. When my name got called I never looked back been working for 15 years in my trade no issues some of the guys I saw there are working no issues but some who knows probably still collecting the monthly check which reminds me. When registering they asked are you on (GR) I said with a confused look in my face no what is that? My buddy next to me automatically said say no your not or you would know. After he explained to me that is a program that some are in to get a monthly check but in order to get that money you have to show that you are doing what you can to get a job. Oh now I see that’s why these guys are in this program just to play the part but don’t give a shit about working they just have to be here to get that check.@crucialbunny did you know of this program?I Wonder how much they get monthly? Maybe there is more than one program and that’s how they add up to 600 a month? I know they provide free cell phones as well. Add all that up. Maybe the beating the kids was a bit harshly worded but when I’m working and two young men my age or younger say to you sorry to interrupt you, we are here from Colorado we don’t want work and we don’t want money for food but if you have weed that we can have we’d really appreciate it lol. I guess I was supposed to enjoy that moment? Now that I’m older I don’t care for it at the moment it bothered me.
I remember going to the Venice board walk before and enjoy the beach now I don’t because if I do it’s full of tents and homeless that are more than willing to attack you. I have children. So I avoid it. Same in Hollywood.Homeless kids called(squatters) Kids having kids and fighting the system because they want to take the kid off the streets but these kids know their rights and fight it and it makes the news. Those things made me make that joke, now that don’t mean I’m complaining just voicing out what I see, hear and live in California. Privileged kids I don’t know that you are right but they sure seem to feel entitled. Sorry to you all I know this ain’t the place but I seriously didn’t think anyone would pay attention. I though some would take advantage to throw in your own jabs just not directly at me lol. Now about those edibles take it slow best advise anyone here can give you. Mr .Madman thanks again for this exchange, I did get something out of it. Politics is a never ending argument. Like my wife says there are 3 parts to a story, your side, my side and then there is the truth.

Anyhow....CBD in autos tends to fluctuate heavily since everything is grown from seed. From the studies I've seen even 4 the gen seeds will give a CBD x THC content vastly different from say 1-1. I've got some Charlotte's angel autos from dutch passion that I'm running in the fall. Had a friend just get done with 4 and he's sending them off for testing for curiosity sake. Smoke test according to him says feels like 1-1. I'm curious myself.
 
I'm not familiar with that program but it sounds very similar to standard unemployment procedures where applicants need to show that they are actively seeking employment.. However, unemployment benefits usually come from the state you reside in. Other than my internship I had very little hands on experience in this area so I don't even pretend to have a wealth of knowledge. I am an insufferable liberal when it comes to social services because I have seen first hand the good it can do. That being said, I have also seen first hand the cycle of poverty that it can create for some families who have become adept at "working" the system and making it their lifestyle. The tax dollars spent on these folks is miniscule when compared to the massive amounts of corporate welfare being dealt out by our elected officials to multinational businesses as well as the military industrial complex. Now, before anyone gets their feathers ruffled when I say "military industrial complex", I do not mean our military, but rather the corporations that milk our armed forces budget selling them supplies and services they don't need. Anyway, rant over and I'm getting things ready for a new grow beginning April 1st. Changing things up significantly for this new grow. Can't wait.

Question about decarb.
Using burped and cured buds, 5 weeks, then added a 58 RH Boveda pack in mason jar.
The 58 RH kept in jars is for a softer taste when smoking.

First time for me, decarbed Northern Lights Auto.
Only used trimmed buds picked apart in smaller fluffy pea size.

Then decarb for 2 hours in Mason jar, lid on, every 15 min, open lid burp, gently shake, burp again back to simmering water stovepot.
Added unsalted butter, same procedure as in decarb, filter, poured into silicone molds and then into the refrigerator.

Question is:
Should the buds have dried a lot more before decarb?
When I did the decarb I noticed there was some moisture in jars,
decarbed stuff felt wet, strong smell, not cannabis like, like butter-herbalish, same taste.

Next up is baking chocolate cookies, brownies, maybe rice crispy treats! YAY! :D
 
I grow mostly balanced weed ie: 1:1 . In my experience the CBD balances the effects of the THC so that I no longer feel anxiety when I use it like I do with high THC weed. Every balanced strain that I have sampled has the same effect, removing the anxiety effect cause d by the THC. I still get high or stoned but with no anxiety, worry or fear. The more CBD present the less I feel the effects. 3:1 weed has very little effect on me whatsoever. If you believe in the benefits of CBD then it might do something else for you but in my experience you won't get too high. I am 65 so. this might be an old person thing. 1:1 weed is like the weed I remember from the 70's.
 
hairyman , Thanks for that info. Next grow for me will be 1:1 and 2:1 weed for the CBD effects. Being older as well, I don’t really care about getting to that point where I don’t know where I am (high). The relaxing , pain relieving effects are something I and my family can use. I TLC (thin layer chromatography) tested CBD Cream + cheese 1:1. It came out 18% THC and @13% CBD. Made some non-decarbed extract oil canna-caps with cocoanut oil and the C+C 1:1. No high at all but good for relaxing, pain relief. Soon I’ll decarb some and make the same canna-caps and compare. Thanks again good to know.

I may be of some help to you. I grow CBD strains for myself cause I'm tested at work. I have grown this in the past and have had great luck with it. And I pass my drug test. This has high CBD & low THC. I vape it in a dry herb vaporizer. Easy to grow Auto flower. The taste is excellent and the smoke is very relaxing. Good price on seeds from this US based seller. I am in Michigan and can grow 12 legally. I think I'm gonna try ACDC (high CBD) next to compare the two. Fun, fun, fun...😃
 
Figured I’d give an update here… just jarred Sweet Nurse CBD from sweet seeds. Initial testing is what I was expecting, mild buzz and relaxing. I tried it on it’s own and also mixed it in with some higher thc buds. It was a super easy grow, kinda a forgotten side project wile photos were finishing up in a separate tent. Start to finish almost 9 weeks, and had pistils at like day 18. I’m excited to grow it again and spend a bit more time with them.
