Cannabis as houseplant

Thanks, that is my end goal. If I decide to bloom buds I will take clones from the houseplant.
 
I mostly agree, but frankly it’s all of the fun tech, training, etc, that makes working with cannabis so fun and rewarding. I say get as nerdy as you want!
 
Good news update

I flushed each plant with water 3x their pot size. The runoff is now

pH = 6.9pH
DTS = 191ppm

I'm going to let them continue draining for a few more hours before I rewater with nutrients. This time I will test the pH after I add the nutes.
To help bring the pH down more, what should I set the re-water with nutes at 6.0pH or 5.5pH?
 
Update

I re-watered with Dyna Gro Grow (1/4 tsp per gallon) + a calcium/magnesium supplement at half strength.

The runoff is now

pH = 6.2pH
DTS = 300ppm

A couple more leaves started to yellow, but I'm hoping the next couple days will fix.
 
Update

It's been two days since the flushing.

The smaller plants look healthy. The larger plant on the right looks like it's rebounding. The larger plant on the left has a bit more yellowing and its leaves are slightly sagging. I think this might be due to a little bit of root rot. I never drilled holes in the bottom of that pot until the flushing. When I did drill, a lot of murky water came out.

It is not to late to drill holes all around the container, make sure to let them dry out completely before watering again.

Update

I removed the copper wiring. I found it shaped the branches nicely, but I did find some stress lines as you'll see below.

Personally I like your houseplant. The act of nurturing, learning and caring for a plant is very satisfying. For me it's a great part of the medicine, it's a relaxing and meditative experience. Looks good.

I'm really hoping one of them will survive as a houseplant. My partner keeps asking when we're going to have buds, and I keep telling her she needs to be patient because my set up isn't for that.
 
Mother plants for cloning are sometimes kept in vegetation for extended periods. You could always set up a small flowering box if you want to experience that. I'd say check out some of the upcoming grows on the Solo cup challenge
 
That's kind of what I'm looking to do. Maybe not as cut back, but with thick stems like that.
