so... still can't figure if this is per person or per dwelling nonetheless
if one has 6 mature plants growing WELL isn't one already out of compliance?
CA medicinal card holders= 6 mature plants/12 immature plants. House of 2 cards doubles it right? And no stipulations on if you have both veg & flower
Can travel with 1 oz...what if you do that and have a gallon of tincture..throw in a cookie.
it is a bit nuts!!
 
I don't know the ins and outs of your new CA law. Google it and read all the fine print. BUT, seems like you've been doing just fine for years now, so don't fret too much. Love ya Tika!!!

Is like we have here in MT. We can have 6 plant 12 seedlings and 1oz. on your person. You are correct. I would break the law with 1 plant.

Michigan has a bill that goes into effect next month, HB 4209 which clarifies some grey areas with concentrates and edibles and how much you're allowed to possess. The thing I'm happiest about is the mandatory testing for contaminates in dispensary sold medicine.

Regulation is coming and it seems to make sense so far. In Michigan anyway.... and we're known for doing things bass ackwards.
 
Congrats to all who's ballot measures passed_HURRAY!

Here in Alaska things are still a bit vague, even after a year. The one regulation that's clear is that we can have 6 plants per household and can carry one ounce per person when not on your property. Of course you can't sell it, but you can give away up to an ounce to an adult. One reference says that you can have a reasonable amount in your household_basically what you got from the harvest of three mature plants, but that isn't defined. Depending on where you look... the regs for growing within the household aren't real clear, some say that you can have 6 plants but only three can be mature at any one time. There is no definition of "mature". Are plants in the veg stage considered immature with flowering plants considered mature... or what? Who knows?

Part of the problem here is that the state hasn't been working on specific regulations to any real extent_ they're leaving it to the city boroughs to decide.
It seems that in Oregon they haven't been bothering with anyone but the very large black market weed concerns_like those who move tons and tons of it. A while back some guy near Salem Oregon got pulled over for erratic driving and they found something like 70 lbs in his trunk. He got a misdemeanor. They also came right out and said they wren't going to prosecute anyone for taking weed from Washington to Oregon or vise versa.

Its going to take a while before all this settles out. How can someone be prosecuted for having more than an ounce when they are growing three or more plants_which obviously will produce a lot more than one ounce? IMHO things will settle out once the law understands more about personal cultivation and the regs get better defined.
If they don't the entire process will be open to all kinds of lawsuits and the courts will be jammed. This will use up all the taxes they collect instead of channeling it to where its intended to go. In Oregon I think they have a four plant per household reg but I've never heard of anyone being busted for a grow that's obviously for personal use. Recently though a grower who had been distributing weed that didn't meet clean standards.
 
Another aspect of recreational weed being legal_ one that I'm concerned about perhaps the most_ is for all the small business growers out there who have invested in land and growing facilities. This morning I read that in California the state will be offering type 5 cultivation licenses to big business in 2023. It will take a lot of hard work to protect the small business person from being put out of business when this happens. Tobacco companies are set up to move on this, buying land to get ready and any licenses they can get as well. With California's economy and population being much larger than other states where recreational is now leads they will be the ones that set the future stage. 2023 may seem like a ways off.... but it will be here sooner than not!
 
Everyone just fend for themselves it's no different than a high corporate Farm and then a street corner produce seller..... just decriminalize it like a rose bush and let us deal with it how we want
 
I am all for testing for pesticides, molds, and as far as it is calculated doses. No problem!
The west coast has Santa Cruz Labs ( let's say if I were to donate to a dispensary). However it is a minimum of 300 + $ to have one sample of bud tested m.o.p for bar code for me to verify I did not have three harmful elements. so that is out of the
question. THC/ CBD is another cost...
I don't use pesticides period.
I am eager for the coming of viable home testing.
 
Well they / you are ahead of my state. As I said before CA is not rolling a nice ball of yarn - it is unraveling a basket of balls the cat got into and trying to look cool about it.
It is a good step..baby step.
 
I personally plan to "keep mowing the lawn"
I no longer have one but you can figure what I mean

HA! thats a good one..mowing the lawn....I like it. A second grow room is getting more and more attractive all the time...but where will I put it?
