Hello, first post; Just sent 3 Nirvana fems (from 3 germinated) into flower. Pic is day 0 after 52 days veg from seed. . Grown according to Nebula's post of Nugbucket's method for 8 colas/plant. Pretty much all questions answered there. 2.5x2 Gorilla lite, growing in 3 gal smartpots with 3 lbs each Kind Soil and filled the rest of the way with Coco Loco. (Tip- buy the Coco online from True Value and ship to store for free). I'm sold on the Kind Soil process--nothing but ph'd water since birth.

I'm using 3 gal pots with kindsoil and coco loco too. I'm loving it as well! Ph my water with earth juice crystals and that's it. Just started flowering 3 days ago. I'll start my new journal soon. Here's a pic of them from a week ago.

Now that is what I'd like to do. So now I have to choose between your method and kingfish's method. They both sound easy and simply, but yet they are different. You are using 3 gal pots too. Our plants outgrew their 2 1/2 gal buckets and we had to do a second transplant into 5 gal buckets which was a bummer. I guess keeping the pots small is the key to using smaller buckets.

Plants look nice for sure. So you're using Earth Juice Crystals to PH your water? I was looking for another way to easily adjust my PH other than using PH up or down. Maybe something a little more...organic. I've been using Sensei Veg and Bloom and had great results this last grow. It says that it will automatically PH your water but I found that to be insufficient in my case_tap water is about 7.5 and I found I got a more neutral outflow PH by first adjusting the PH to 6.0 and then mixing in the nutes. Going for a PH of 5.75-6.25 for the coco/perlite medium.

Great job Nugs. This is kind of fun. Can you tell me from the time you gerinated the seeds. How old they are. ?

Hello Morgan55_ I see you're using some hoops over your pots to help open your plants up.. I'm guessing. I have a similar setup because I can't work with a scrog in my space. The hoops I'm using have a grid over the top. I've been Toping or FIMing my photoperiod plants and this has worked really well_am geting about 8 main colas on each plant. BUT, couldn't get some autos I grew this last time to LST very well...The main stems just kept growing up once they were outside the grid and int was a pain to try and keep everything even, decent harvest regardless but can't help think it could have been better. Got any suggestions for getting more control over the LST with autos? Maybe I need to try and "wrap" the main stem around the outside of the grid next time around?

Seven days after their pre-flower trim, the girls are looking well. Mainline specifics: the first topping was 3rd node. Second and 3rd toppings were first node each. I wanted to limit the diameter of the plant to control bud crowding, since my tent is only 2' deep.
