our first harvest.

13.5 weeks blooming. what a ride!
started cutting friday night, one plant at a time. finished monday afternoon. next time maybe cut a handful at a time cuz they a bitch to handle when they start to soften. syrupy mess.
hung 178 single branches (scrog) and almost filled the top tier of the 24" rack with loose buds, which have already lost 50% mass so i will jar those tonight. the other 7 tiers are ALL for the hashpot. 80%+ is flower, the rest is all trichomed leaves.
there was a good few main colas filled out real nice in spite of the overcrowding, happy for that. i know now that while i dont need to eliminate all side branches (i like hash) i do need to control it for better spacing in my tops.
overall i am very pleased with my first harvest. i didnt wet weigh because its not that important to me, i can wait to see it dry. but im confident i will see 6 to 8 jars of good bud and enough good hash to make the whole neighborhood smile. in the end tho, its not really about the weight on this first run, but about simply succeeding. i pushed a lot of limits , and learned a lot of lessons. and you folks here at gwe helped get me out of some tough spots and into some sweet fkn cannabis buds, and i am sooo grateful for all bein there.

little samples review
samples taken 2 weeks pre harvest, dried down 3 days, jarred n curing 2 weeks now.

consistency is great i think. nice n solid but not rock hard. my preference for the bong and pipe. i like a full bowl to light up and burn well, but still get 3 big ones from it.
smell n flavor just starting to come in. still too faint to comment as its mostly just the cure funk ramping up still. but... 6 ppl tried it now and say its damn smooth for no flush and a green cure. nobody coughed. so once again, a forgiving strain for new growers!
aaahh, the stone...
i dont know how to describe the stone accurately. unlike anything ive ever smoked in my life. i can tell you takes about 5 mins to start, continues to intensify noticeably for up to about 30 mins. then that levels off as the body effects kick in and then THEY intensify for a bit. stone lasts long.
best i can describe it is intense. never felt anything quite like it. super spacey, amnesiatic, and def a night time smoke. one good green ripper does me more than fine, all i could do and still trim. kept spacing off on those jeweled flowers! 3-4 hits and im cooked. cant even undersand english anymore.

all i got time for now. sorry about the gap in updates, dont seem worth posting without pics.

happy humpday GWE

HARVESTER, I will have to start spelling your name in caps now, because you are truly the most cosmic, intergalactic HARVESTER in the.... well, in the cosmos.

Congrats on a job excellently done!!! A+++++

You're welcome. This report/posts was excellent to read! I was right there with you! Ditto on a lot of what you said. I've really enjoyed falling your grow

WOW indeed! What a great ride! Beautiful images right down to beautiful trunk remains and a very fabulous journal. :) Thuroughly satisfying! Thank you for taking us all along with you. Hard to believe it's your first. Got a good chuckle over the thought of trimming limp stems...been there. Now I am cutting one down at a time..trimm...repeat You just earned yourself a
36" net...or two :)
Which process will you use for your hash? Eager to see that too!!!!!

I have to say that is going to be one bitch of a shake!!!! I use a large piece of corrion at knee high and sweat like a fiend espnafter the initial 5 min shake with the 5 gal bucket with 5 lbs of dry ice. A true labor of love :)

Lol. There's nothing like growing your own! That was my exact thoughts with my first harvest. But now after hanging here on gwe, it just keeps getting better!
