    Sit on it and ROTATE

    Hey yall,

I'm not angry or anything. I just figured this was a good way to get folks attention. So here's my question, Do you think getting one of the plant platforms that rotate is a good idea? I really feel it will make a difference with my outdoor grow.

Here's a link to what I'm referring to

why not just rotate the pot yourself? You don't even have to pick it up off the ground to do it.

only because by the time I get home from work, it already dark. I figured with an automated carousel, I all parts of the plant would get equal sunlight.

Thats the one I was originally looking at. Then I had to take moisture into consideration, and my dip shit dog likes to chew cords as well. The other one I posted is battery operated.

Something like that could help avoid plants with more growth on one side than the other. But if it is rotating and something gets in the way, a branch or three may get broken off. That would mean keeping a lot of extra distance between plants so they don't snag on each other, and most people don't have that much space (if they did, there would be more plants filling it).

I was thinking about that too, as far as the plants getting snagged on something. But i'm growing in an open space outdoors, so i'd be able to give them some separation

The sun already does this for you (sunrise to sunset) and inside grows would not benefit as the light is directly above.

Hmmmm.... But with sun rise and sunset, the sun is hitting certain parts of the plant at certain times of the day. If I were to get this carousel that turns on its own, ALL parts of the plant would get equal sunlight.

The plant will gravitate to the sun- I have a window sill grow . I started moving around and then stopped-

The plant repositioned all the bud sites to get the most sun - it looks like a wall of buds where the buds from the back have moved to join the others on the window side of the plant.

Seems like you would be further ahead doing this manually every day or two so you would have a more personal interaction with your garden. This would allow you to watch for any pests or other issues before they get out of control. Unless of course, there is some physical reason restricting you.

Have to go sing to the babies now.

Oh I agree, turning them myself would be much more intimate. I just figured that with them spinning automatically, I can take FULL advantage of the suns rays.

What song are u singing to them? I sing " Aint no woman like the one I got"

Ever since my first born poked their pretty little heads above the coco a couple of weeks back, I haven't been able to get this little ditty out of my head. Hot Chocolate - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3fX2_bxEkg

I may have to just play it for them from now on. Think my singing may have sent them into shock.

that would be dope. You might need to patent that idea before someone else does

The sun will do what you need naturally. The sun does not move in a straight line across the sky. It moves in a wide arc. Depending on the speed of turning, you might only get light on one side with this method. I have thought about this a lot as a way to keep some thing in shade all day.
