It’s fun af to try different methods! They’ll come back. Hell, last grow I accidentally set my soil on fire for 3 hrs and they lived. I’d have a habit of smoking in my room and putting my cig out in the corner of my flux box I built. Wasn’t thinking about how dry the soil was there and POOF....smoldering fire...lol. Lost half of my grow, but they lived. I now have a ashtray hahhaa

Retodd That really is to nice of a box for herbs lol did you make a different one ? I will say I really like the idea of fluxing and from what I can tell from my girls its going to be a massive plant .new grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds

My biggest question: the lowest lux data for the bottom bud position
Because of the difference in lighting; I want to know, plants in the 12/12 stage, the position of the bottom buds with LUX measuring instrument to measure the light level; at least what data (XX lux) need to be reached; in order to continue to grow effective flowers! This is very important! I am a beginner; I now know that the light energy during flowering determines the final yield; so I need a valid number (bottom bud position ~ lux can not be lower than how much data). If I know this data, I can train my plant accurately. ! But unfortunately; I have been looking for a website for a long time; there is no value for this! I am currently using LEC630+LEC315; I don't know if my description is detailed because of language restrictions; I hope my question can get the answer! Thank you

Mingzhu the lux meter will allow you to get you light at the right height for the top buds , if you want to increase the size of the smaller ,lower buds side lighting or harvest the top and put her back in bloom room to fatten up . personally I would do side lighting never had much luck with other method lol

People say the biggest mistake made by new growers, is over watering. I've also read where you should water your plants to, I think 20%, runoff. My question is this-what's the difference between over watering, and watering to runoff? Seems like a contradiction to me.

Another thing it will depend on is what you’re growing in. For my indoor I like using the fiber bags. It’s almost impossible to over water. Best way to check is to stick your finger in the soil a couple inches down. If it comes out dry it’s time to water. If you over water it’ll just come out the sides. Hope this helps

Watering too frequently is really over watering and standing water is a no-no as well. I have friends with houseplants that kill them by watering every other day

So when they say over watering, what they really mean, is watering too often. Their talking about watering over several days, as opposed to a single shot. I have 3 autos 2 and a half weeks old. I've been giving them around a pint of water, waiting till they dry out some, usually about 2 or 3 days, then water again. I guess I should be watering till it drains out the bottom, then wait till it dries out some. Do you start from day 1 watering to runoff, or 1 week, or 2?

wolfalias The two auto white widows in airbags and iced grapefruit and glue photo starters here....they get a gallon split between them all every other day. The photos will get transplanted outdoors next week and will just get watered when it rains. The widows will get 1/2 gallon every other day. Hope this helps1 Photo

heres a question we know that training will increase yields , I am curious about manifolding and fluxing ,both of witch the goal is to make 8 kolas ,now I'm wondering if the yield is bigger with just 8 kolas or with all the side branches growing buds instead of clipping them , I mistakenly left all the side shoots on and tied them down then let the side shoots on the side shoots go from their right now they are about 6 inches high , not sure if they will keep growing up or do they reach a certain height and thats it . I guess we will see but if anyone has done both ways what was the bigger yieldnew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds

Do they grow taller outdoors and is this due to less light than a grow room? I moved a small plant photo and a nice size 3 week auto outside and I swear the whole thing stretched up and the new nodes are spaced out more. It's like 90 degrees here and sunny. The leaves are all stretched up towards the sun which I never notice in the grow room.
The indoor leaves don't look funny, they do angle up some, but not like when outdoors. Indoor leaves are closer to a 70 degree angle vs outdoor around 30 degrees. What causes this and is one better than the other?
Plants are ready sooner indoors and I assume grow rooms have better light than the sun which makes them grow shorter indoors, they don't need to reach. Just seems a little odd because I thought sunlight was the technically the best for a plant. I have a lot of light directed into a small area if that makes a difference here.

As a outdoor grower for 20+ years and only growing indoor for 1-1/2 yrs, I’d just have to say that you’re correct. On a outdoor grow your plants relieve natural vitamin D from the sun, are exposed to more oxygen, and are on a variable schedule between light and temperature. This will make a plant strive more and a ton stronger than a plant indoors. You’ll also have the option of not topping and have plants that will sometimes grow to 10-12’. Follow me and Spidermite on our grow this year on the great auto showdown. I think you’re on there already. He’s growing the same plants as I am indoor that I’m doing outdoors to see who will produce the most. I’m transplanting my photos outside tomorrow. Hope this helps

Can I grow 4 plants in a 2,5x2,5 tent with a 1000w chinese castnoo led light (actual 230w)? Ive read in this that I need at least 75w per plant but with 3 plants the Reservoir is big and I have height problems
