SOIL 5 x 5 tent-can I put it in a non- climate controlled shed in the summer?

Is it feasible to put a 5 x 5 tent in a shed w/o AC in the hot summer? I assume the temps would be too high.

Take your thermometer out there b-4 you go thru the hassle

That depends on your climate, is the shed in the sun, and how you can use windows, screens, fans, dehumidifiers, and space heaters. I do it in a semi finished second floor of a barn. No AC, tbh there are days that it is needed, but I manage without. The power bill is bad enough with the grow and the AC in the house. Start with a digital hi/low recording thermometer/hygrometer and get some data to decide.

Thank you both for your responses. It's in partial shade but in middle TN so can get quite hot. What temp in the shed will be too high? I think with some fans it may be possible. Would using a grow tent in the shed be better or worse? I assume worse, as the tent would hold heat in. I'm trying to keep the tent/ grow out of the house.

If i was you i would shoot for around 75 degrees. if you can vent heat out of the top with a roof vent or on a high gable end thats a cheap way to go. you need air movement either way and a fan will push alot of hot air out

Thank you. I may have to bring the tent in the house in the hottest months and bring them out to the shed when the temps are more moderate. I'm sure the shed will easily exceed 75 F most of the summer during the day. Maybe a small ac would work. I have a small portable one I could install.

Go with the gable vents as@ductwizard2 said,a lot easier than cutting a hole in the roof, what are the dimensions of the shed, and why bother with the tent if you have a shed??

In the course of growing out plants in a tent with a carbon filter there will be times that the tent needs to be opened. When this happens the dank will drift outside. Keep this in mind if you have sus neighbors.
