Bat Guano Warning! Please Read

Did you know raw bat guano can kill you? Well, it can.
Per several web reports, two Rochester, NY men died from using it for their cannabis grows last fall.
The cause? Histoplasmosis, a sometimes fatal lung disease caused by the fungus Histoplasma
capulatum, which grows in guano.

- Decedent 1, 59, ordered guano online.
- Decedent 2, 64, used guano from a heavy bat infestation in his attic.

Bottom line, raw bat guano contains numerous pathogens. some of which WILL KILL YOU.

Think twice or thrice about NEVER using unsterilized guano. You are risking your life and your familys'.

That goes for just about all unprocessed manure I think, always a good idea to wear a face mask when mixing soil. Bat and seabird guano especially because they tend to be dusty, and perlite dust is just tiny glass particles.

I had no idea about the flammability of guano. a good reason to stay away from it. Fun fact, did you know that the dryer sheets that keep your clothes smelling nice and static free also make them more flammable? That's right. Bounce and others makes your clothes more flammable. I quit using it.
