So my wife has arthritis issues in her shoulder and knees, right now she takes a granddaddy purple tincture (homemade of course) and it helps a lot! The issue is she really can’t take it daily cause of her job as an accountant she needs a clear head so my question is need a recommendation for a good Cbd strain or 1:1 strain that she could take regularly. I found one on naca website Cbd Candyland that a cross between GDPx Platinum Cookie. I was thinking since gdp is what helps that this strain may too since it has some gdp and cbd. Any thoughts or other strains that may help would greatly be appreciated.

Royal Queen Seeds has a 1:1 strain called Royal Medic i grew outdoor last year just for my back pain and tendon problems in my hand. It seems to help pain better than the high thc strains. Grew well outdoors here in Virginia. Will probably grow again this year.

Try some off the shelf stuff w/ Cbd but she said it was just ok. That is something I’d like to make when I figure out which strain to go for.

That makes sense — it’s tough to balance pain relief with staying sharp for work.
A 1:1 or high-CBD strain is definitely the right direction. CBD Candyland could be worth trying since she responds well to GDP genetics, but the added CBD may reduce the head high.
You might also look into strains like Harlequin, ACDC, or Cannatonic — they’re known for pain relief with minimal psychoactive effects.
Also, paying attention to terpenes like caryophyllene and myrcene can help with inflammation. Starting low and adjusting slowly is usually the safest approach.
Hope she finds something that works comfortably for daily use.

I’ve found that checking capitate stalked trichomes helps me judge ripeness way better than just looking at the buds overall, and using that page made it a lot easier to compare clear, cloudy, and amber heads. If you’re tracking potency or flavour changes, those tiny colour shifts tell you a lot without overthinking things.Last edited by Wordwers; 03-18-2026, 12:52 AM.

Beeman have a look at the article I posted to this thread.
If you make your tincture without describing your plant material it will still have benefits but not be psychoactive. That way you can have your THC for the full entourage effect. A lot of this research is still lacking and changing by the month, so it’s really down to trial and error for individuals
Been sitting on this a bit. Wanted to get myself straight. Figure out the what's-a-what's. Got my bib on so when I get down to it, I will not get crow on my shirt. As RSO, I believe marijuana is a medicine. Yeah, I said it. We'll still argue about smoking it. I've been dipping into that RSO I made from Franklin 's CBD weed. I
