Ok, I get that there is no "best" cannabis nutrient system. Anyone who's gone online has seen growers grow great weed with tons of different nutrients.
Some growers use bottled nutrients (Fox Farm, General Hydroponics, etc.), some use dry nutrients (Jacks, Dr Earth), and some growers amend the soil (Super Soil, Nature's Living soil) so the soil itself provide nutrients. They all have pros and cons.
But even if there is no "best", that doesn't mean that some aren't better than others.
For example, everyone agrees Miracle-Gro is the worst thing ever, but why exactly? What in particular is it about Miracle-Gro or other "bad" cannabis nutrients, that's so much worse than General Hydroponics or Dr Earth nutrients?
Do they leave residue in the buds? Do the plants just grow slower with smaller yields? Do they get more deficiencies? Something about pH?
I've been thinking about this since the debate post yesterday about the best autoflowering nutrients.
My stoner hypothesis: What if Miracle-Gro only seems terrible for growing cannabis, because most growers who use Miracle-Gro are beginners. And the more expensive, advanced nutrients only seem particularly special, because growers who buy professional nutrients likely take better care of their plants.
What does the GrowWeedEasy.com forum think? What have growers here noticed between different nutrient brands, if anything. (yields, smells, density, growth speed/health, deficiencies...)
Has anyone ever seen cannabis grown with Miracle-Gro to show what happens?
