Double whiskey sour please…

Retired a couple months ago so have time to do things at my leisure. Stared last week 2 double whiskey sours auto … try a little not to scientific experiment both in a 2 gal bag with sunshine mix #4 one has grow dots the other is with gh flora nova ..see what happens. Cheers!

Congratulations, Beerman! Retirement is great!

May I inquire why 2 gal pots? It might be perfect for your grow setup, but 3 to 5 gal pots could improve yield. IMO, autoflowers would be better for smaller pots.

The important thing is you will hopefully have years of successful grows in your future!

So been about a month since I started this grow/ experiment.. my double whiskey sour auto with grow dots is doing great just pH water and go…the other one Ihave been having pH issue . The third one pictured on the left is critical orange auto also with grow dots..so far I like grow dots also using grow dot recharge one a week. Interesting 🤔

I’m gonna say the one plant is just generally hungry. It’s in flower now so maybe feed some flower nutes

What do you think of the Grow Dots vs GH Flora Nova now? I tried GH Flora Nova once, because it seemed simpler than the 3 part, but I wasn't a huge fan. I just heard about the Grow Dots but the idea seems intriguing. Did you still have to adjust pH with them?

Just curious, what grow light are you using right now?

I like the concept of the grow dots it seems if you treat it kinda like living soil when you water not to water to runoff. Have had some Ph issues at 1st but it got better as I figured it in so to speak. Haven’t tried them on phots yet. These are autos. They sell a classic and extended version think that’s what they call it..mix in your growing medium, add plant and water..that’s it. The flora nova series I like . Keep it simple use the grow in veg use the bloom when flower. PH according.. this is my 2 nd grow with it 1st grow was last winter grew out a couple of gdp think I got about 4ounces each .i claim to be no expert just looking for a simple grow. As for that grow light it is a vivid sun 100;watt led . I grew these in 2 gallon bags, in Sunshine mix#4 did start these originally in my 4x4 tent with a vivo sun 450 but didn’t really need the space so moved them to the smaller a smaller tent. This grow was more for my curiosity to try out 2 different nutrients to see what happens..oh also did use the grow dot recharge about once a week on both too.

These plants started under the 450 but now are under a 100W LED grow light? I bet that's saving a ton of electricity. Vivosun seems to be the new "it" brand these days.

Was your Flora Nova liquid all super thick and hard to measure? Maybe I got a bad or old batch.

The bloom is very thick the grow not so much. …ya crazy that they the 100 watt is doing so well…I’ve had good luck with vivosun.
The 450gets a little warm some days had to add extra ventilation to keep it down. Works well in cold weather when it gets warm out have to crank up the extra exhaust. Doesn’t help. On the warm days the tents are upstairs. People laugh when I tell them our basement is upstairs. We live in a partial earth contact house. Main living quarters are on the lower level the previous owners had a fire in the garage in the early 90s after that they added on an addition above the garage added about 500 sq feet. It has its own hvac for heating and cooling it an open loft so heat rises to it.

Yes, I also switch lights based on the weather sometimes. When it gets hot I use my smaller lights.
