The snow is falling so fast that the d.p.w. can't keep up with it, now they are only plowing the primary roads, none of the secondary roads have been touched, we've got about 4 feet of snow now and more to come, damn, this is going to suck

I'm near Cleveland, I think we got 10 or more inches today. Back in the day we had feet for the whole winter. I can't ride my snowmobile right now because I fractured my foot. Talk about frustration.

40 years ago, my wife and I moved to Phoenix from northern Illinois - for the exact purpose of getting out of the snow and cold. From all your comments, the move seems to have worked. In 70°'s F all next week. Harvested three real sticky outdoors AF's on January 7. Got so much flower and extracts from the summer season that I did not do my winter greenhouse grow.

Yeah. But then it's 145° the rest of the year.

We got about 16 inches in southern Maine. I miss the desert this time of year

That's cold. 3° here. -4° yesterday am. This is crazy. 1st time in 26 years I've got a frozen pipe.

                #27
Do you have any kind of heat source to thaw the pipe??

It's a separate baseboard zone. Upstairs loft. Don't use it much. My main zone is fine. Just don't want it to burst.

                #28
Maybe you should shut that zone off when you get the really cold weather from here on out, water can make a serious mess in an old house

Couldn't believe it. It thawed on its own. Saved a bunch. Guy was on his way. Back to more normal temps this week. I'll do something in the spring to deal with this thing. Plus its not that old. Built in 2000. Just that log homes have difficult heating issues.
