HELP- first hydro build and grow

I have a bucket of water ready to go downstairs,, I'll fill the other black bucket and hook up the air stone, the I'll mix in the nutes at half strength and add some great white tomorrow

Magic potions. i wouldn't worry too much about the bloom nutes at this stage.

I changed the water and gave her half strength nutes, I'll wait a little while and check the pH again

I followed the feed chart and pH the solution to 6.3, the first set of leaves are a little yellow, let's see how it goes

Can you get the pH under 6?

I have the pH down to 5.9

I have a theory, the pebbles are letting light into the system, that's why I don't see the root growth I expected, and maybe I have a solution

The small clay pebbles are substrate that I bought for the aquarium when we bought live plants
