HELP- first hydro build and grow

I decided to try my hand at growing in a hydro system,I have black buckets and lids, bottles of nutrients,duel port air pump, pH and TDS meter and the basket,hydroton and rock wool cubes are coming today.heres the deal,I have no clue what I'm doing, but I'm going to build the bucket, I'll definitely be needing advice and guidance, anyone who grows in hydro please help

Your going to need Hydroguard or something similar if it gets hot where your growing

I recommend these 2 products to put off root rot either way Southern Ag Garden Friendly Biological Fungicide,16oz or hydroguard, they have 2 different prices for a qt, no idea why

About root rot.
Y'all might be familiar with my little 'speriment. I'm not going to buy anything if I get root rot. It'll be a write off. That's the great thing about 'spereiments.
My idea, in my case, is to clean the reservoir and dip the roots in an H2O2/water solution. Y'all's's thoughts?

That's new to me. Then again, this is all new to me. I'll do some more research.

Lack of oxygen is the #1 cause of root rot and heat in the res is #2, I always had plenty of air bubbling but when the water temp got to about 84 or higher root rot would start at the tips of the roots. With your experiment Dabber I would just see what happens and save my money. If I was going to buy anything it would be a thermometer for the water, Going back to the basics is good thing to do from time to time. Keep a daily log you may need it.

The stone is for a 10-gallon tank and I'm running it in, perhaps, 3 quarts. Should be plenty.
Temps are 69°-73°, depending on how well I keep up with the basting and covering the lid.

I'd only run one stone in your pot man, to many bubbles not good for the roots. Just tie a couple of knots in the hose off the outlet your not going to use...
