Until I can do hydro fem, no bloody way! Y'all Solo cup challenge people are snobs. Coco folk like me got no chance against you fancy hydro people. Why would I drive my beat-up '77 Fiesta next to your next generation hyper cars?
Uh-uh. Tried the first one. Man was I a shlupp! Fool me once...
    C'mon, mule!

Coco on a drip with a timer I would think could work really well. You'd flip after what, 6 hours of veg? Lol

Im thinking any challenges should have everyone starting with the same growing medium. That way results would be dependent on growing skills

But choice of medium given all considerations is a growing skill

I did, but with clones. Is it a fail if I got bud from it? We lost the battle but won the war? Went full through the life cycle and I got about a doob worth. Done in living soil and water only. I'm shocked some lived really.

Bud is not a fail, it is a win. Clones are valid for a solo cup grow. The only rule is that it must be grown only in the cup. Nice work. I like a challenge.

The solo cup harvest is in. Day 100 from sprout, day 58 from flip. Two did really well, and two were hurting at the end.

The thing about the cup grow is these are the seedlings that were the runts of the pick and no one wanted them. I couldn't bear tossing them so they were grown out, but didn't exactly get the best care compared to the main plants. I wonder how they would finish if they were the strong looking plants from the bunch. Just goes to show how persistent these plants are.

Thats pretty cool, there is a article on here about micro or bonzi mothers in small containers about the size of a solo cup. It works

                        Solo 3 & 4 wow.

What do you put the difference in yields down to?

                      #14
They were all equally cared for, ignored, and abused. The seeds are all from the same plant, same breeding, the RP-1O4 project. See post #33. https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...o-happen/page3
The only difference is in the phenotype genetics of the seeds. BTW these plants were the runts of the give away seedlings that no one else wanted.

My final entry for 2024. The house plant solo. Sprouted in the cup, and grown in the cup. Topped once above node 4, then each branch topped above node 4 again. Fed only scraps of nutes from the main grow. Survived only in sunlight in the window. It is now 235 days old and starting to die of old age so I stopped watering it. At 48 inches tall with two toppings I think this is a record solo for me.

Close up of the buds please.

Will you do a dry and weigh?

                          Did you prune the roots?

That is something else. Well done!
