i Drew out the dimensions on paper with your light i thought the led had to be anywhere from 12-16 inches away from top of plant also how big height wise are the pots ur putting them in you also have to count in the mounting bracket height. my lights mounting bracket is 3 1/2 inches off the light im going to modify it later plus my ratchets i loose almost 7 inches. i just don't see how those dimensions are going to work with what you got for a light. with the height issue never mind the brackets and pot size. sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Inuart88 is right. My current grow box is 48" tall and all I can use is CFL's and even then I have to LST to keep them out of light. I have not grow autos but they do appear to grow shorter. I am upgrading my lights after this grow but will need to expand grow area.

What kind of grow do u wanna do? Soil/perlight, hydro in what form flood and drain, bubble ponics they all have there good and bad. Iv always grown soil but my next grow I wanna try bubbleponics as I hear the growth of the plants is almost double as fast.

Another thing that stunted this auto is I have 2 plants in 1 pail major mistake don't do this lol but the small one got toped and the big one didn't. The grow is the exact same side by side grow. The plant on the other half of the pail is also way bigger than the toped one

I saw 6 bubble poinics kit at my hydro store for 200 with my 10% off 180 good deal I thought about but I love my free space to move at will. Also packers I can tell you I read for 40+ hours and watched so many hours of video. Ask questions if you have them but I have learned a ton from just growing to how the plants react to whatt you do and so on at first I can tell you keep and eye on them so u can correct anythigg wrong I had my light to close burned my leaves fixed that the same day over nute'd my fog small and flushed her the same day! And fixed the problem at first I would check your plants often. I always learn the most from doin. Current grow

I wrote a little bit about topping auto strains here, if anyone is interested! Basically you can get pretty great results with it as long as your plant is healthy and growing fast when you do it. Topping only tends to be problematic if you try to do it to a stunted auto-flowering plant since it won't have a lot of time to recover before it starts making buds
Topping auto-flowering cannabis strains isn't recommended because they're on a tight schedule, but sometimes it's okay!

Does topping just allow your lower branches to catch up quicker to the top? If you have 6 feet or more of space is really worth it won't the branches just catch up over time or will ur canopy always be uneven? Also if you have enough light coverage does it really matter?

I know someone mentioned the smell with kids in the house. I bought a scrubber. I'm still piecing it all together and waiting for it to arrive. They haven't even sent my seeds yet. I wasn't planning on cutting the plants. I was gonna grow one at a time. I watched videos on LST. Everyone I saw people were bending the stocks instead of cutting them. I did buy a huge bag of soil from the urban Garden center up here. I cannot remember the name though. I was planning on keeping my light about 18" away. I do fabricatonight for a living so I was going to make space saving brackets. I was going to use a 5 gallon bucket to grow in. I am waiting for everything to arrive, hopefully by Friday. Who knows when the seeds will arrive.

I still need to get pH stuff. If you use soil with nutes in it, do you need more as well?

My experience with autos is that they need help right at the end, and if they don't get it they will still produce but could have been better.

I would recomend a temp controller that regulates exhaust fan speed. Worth every penny imo

I use fox farm trio and I dnt need ph but it also depends on the type of water and the temp of the water I use well water at 72 degrees and my ph just with nutes is 6.4 everytime, but u will need some sort of pH down/up when u flush ur system or if ur soil is a high ph u will need to have lower ph water to balance ur soil out. Also w.e soil u end up useing make sure to use something to areogate ur soil ur roots need oxygen the more the better, I use perlight. If u use ur 5gal bucket like I do drill a shit ton of holes around the side and the bottom or ur roots wount get enough oxygen

Soil with nutes will only take it through the first week or so of life

If height is an issue dnt grow in 5gal pails gow in something shorter and wider that still holds 5gals of soil. Autos like to spread there roots out anyways

I only have 48" height wise to work with. If I could find a plastic 55 gallon drum I think that would be ideal for the roots like tyler_hobbyist was saying. I'm open to anything. I find the local grow store to be very pricey. The vivosun fan I got online cost me $68. They sell the same one for $130. I have well water as well. I will test it to see what it's pH level is. I will look into perlite for sure.

The fox farm is a nice product I use (Big bloom and Grow big) For seedling and veg and (bigbloom and tiger bloom) for flower ill post the feeding sched I give the autos and for containers ya a drum would work or a walmart tote or u could build ur own with wood and thin fabric or window screen.
