    Grape Icecream by Going2Fast

I started Grape Icecream autos. Gifted to me by @Going2fast

I usually plant directly to soil. But not this time. I started 3 seeds with the old paper towel method.

I place the damp towel between two porcelain dinner plates. I use an old desk lamp with a 100 watt. incandescent bulb, to warm the plates. I adjust the lamp so that the top plate is warm. Baby bottle warm.

Planted directly to FFOF in 3 gallon fabric pots. I added extra perlite this time as well.

Watered one gallon H20 with 1tsp backstrap molasses each. Ph adjusted to 6.5. Three days later all three germinated.

That's exactly how I germinate my seeds with a 12 hr shot glass soak first. Paper towel in two plates right in the tent with light on 50%. 1/2" tail in two days. Always seems to work for me. I do use fine tweezers to maneuver the seed. Never touch the tail.

I keep the perlite heavy in the top of the pot where the seedling starts 50/50ish and at the bottom just coco. Holds a bit more water for buffer that way and when it's filled out the pot doesn't need to breath down there...just like a soil grow

My take on that re autos was the oerlite helps them get going a bit quicker. That's why I only bothered doing the tops of the pots for the autos

Vermiculite is better at holding water than perlite.

Nice start! You gave me the incentive to alter my germination and sprouting methods. Gonna try it next month!

      Gonna watch.
My recent GIC's were the best producing plants I've grown. At least 3oz per plant. Might be my best % return on hashing and extracting.

Way to grow Mollisol your becoming a perpetual farmer LOL this is the way i learned skills, it's really through growing perpetually i think is the best way for you to do grows and knowing what's wrong or right that works for you. It all boils down to repetive growing and becoming comfortable using what you use. And it's such a good feeling when it all clicks. I like added perilite to my soil mixes. Another grower friend does the same putting it down on the bottom i've never done it though just mixed in extra per pot.

SoOrbudgal how much can you get out of 1 outdoor autoflower?
I don't like having tolerance so I take T breaks. Damn cold sweats and insomnia. Doing a clinical trial for which I can't piss test positive, otherwise I'd vape my trim. Mine's gonna be well cured by the time it's over if I don't ruin it. Will be cool if it feels like the first time again.

Withdrawal is not that bad though, caffeine withdrawal is worse for me, makes me angry. I'll probably start vaping over 1g a day with my Plenty again if I get a good harvest. A ball vape should be more efficient, like the pinky Going2fast mentioned

Orggrwr your comment about different experiences with vapes. That has always been the up-side of vapes. DHV's have adjustable heat so the same person can get something different from the same bud.

The one on the right looks a bit behind the others and a bit of maybe cal or N deficiency. Are you pampering her?

                  #15
The one on the right I damaged when moving pots around. I'm sure I shocked it. I don't expect it to fully recover.

But I've been wrong before! All three are on the same water and nute schedule.

That's the problem with autos hey...you can never catch back up. Every minute you drop behind for whatever reason is a minute lost.
