That's dangerous stuff -65F wind-chill. The last big cold blow we had really showed where my house leaked. Most I think was though the garage door from worn out rollers allowing the wind to push the door in away from the seals. Won't know until it happens again but it was a cheap and easy fix putting in new rollers.

They are predicting -65 wind chill in the mountains. For the first time I can remember, and possibly the first time ever, they are contemplating closing the ski resorts for the day. Crazy.

We're supposed to get wind chills down to 45 below zero here in the northeast. Frostbite in 10 min. Crazy. Then 50s by Monday.

    Luck.

Cars in houses? Have you seen our roads?
Eucalyptus trees randomly falling on people's homes? Eucalyptus are notoriously brittle trees.
Airplanes in houses? Yep. We've had a few of those.
Tank vs. motorhome? The national guard armory took extensive measures to make sure meth'd up people cannot steal tanks so easily.

I don't which I'd rather get pancreatitis from - that bacon, or pumpkin sheet cake with a large amount of canna cream cheese frosting.

While searching for my phone today I moved the couch: 2 straws; 4 cat bell-ball toys and an untouched dispo doob in a tube. Had someone call my phone finally, it was upside-down, black-on-black on a doggy bed underneath a pet toy. The only suspect is feline.

Yep. They've been talking about it for a few days. Don't think they'd tell us if it was going to be a hit.

We have satellites further out than that.

Funny you say that. Because I just watched Deep Impact earlier.

I love being kept in the dark before possible ELE's.
This is just a little snippet. The first line got me. From the BBC.

Now it's over, we can say it: a biggish asteroid passed by Earth a short while ago.

About the size of a minibus, the space rock, known as 2023 BU, whipped over the southern tip of South America just before 00:30am GMT.

With a closest approach of 3,600km (2,200 miles), it counts as a close shave.

I have one sorta like that. I love the flat grill let's you move pots around. Haven't used the griddle burner as much as I thought I would though.
