I hate that Amazon, FedEx, and UPS. Just park in the middle of the fucking street. I run service for a real estate company. I have to find parking and walk to the job with my tool bag, parts, ect.

Must be nice to have a free pass, to block traffic and do whatever the hell you want.

Fucking AMERIGAS. Not only do they let me run out of propane for the 10th time in as many years..and I'm on auto refill service. But I have an app....that they made...that shows me how much propane I have... Because it phones home every day...and they can see this ...and I called and gave them a heads up that I'm less than 7%...THEY STILL LET ME RUN OUT AND THEN TELL ME I HAVE TO TAKE A DAY OFF WORK SO THEY CAN CHECK FOR LEAKS....AND THEN DON'T SHOW UP ON SAID DAY AND GIVE ME A TEXT AT 530 IN THE AFTERNOON SAYING OOPS CANT MAKE IT TODAY...ENJOY FREEZING AND WE WILL TRY AGAIN TOMORROW.
FUCK THEM AND THERE FUCKING CALL CENTER IN INDIA CUZ THEY GOT RID OF ALL THEIR REGONAL OFFICES..............

Do you own the tank? If so can you get someone else to fill it? I still have a 500 gallon tank from when I last had propane for heat/cooking, here we have a number of providers to choose from.

Fuck that. They'd be gone. Even if it was their tank. Up here pretty much every oil company delivers propane too. Lots of competition.

(This won't make you feel better. Might even make you call me a bad name, again, because I suck for saying this because I am a complete asshole when I say this. I admit that. But I want to say it.)
I had to put socks on with my sandals and hoodie over my jacket this morning when I took Dabber out because it was all the way down to 49°. Made it down to 67° in my apartment overnight. Brr, man! I totally feel your lack of heat pain. Totally. That global warming shit is a real ball-buster.
That is a sort of reason I don't do auto re-whatevers. Does Amerigas have competition?

Plenty of competition. Problem is they want to charge me to remove tanks that I have been renting for 30 years. Mind you they are not my company of choice. They bought out the company that bought out the company that I had. And it's totally true. There is nowhere in America that you can go into and Amerigas office and complain about your service. All call centers overseas. Totally gone this spring if I have to deliver their tanks to them myself which I totally can

City people like me pay money to vacation in rurality such as yours. That is why I tease. Hiccups and inconveniences, sure. But you have trees out your windows without even trying! I have traffic and loud street people.
Spent a winter 2 weeks with a cousin who lived on 10 acres in New Mexico. The place was built buy a survivalist for Y2K. While I was there the water either froze or the well dried up. Not really sure. Wound up hand pumping from one of 5 5,000 water tanks buried on the property. Had to filter all of it and boil for drinking. All heat was provided by a single wood stove. Spent much of the days with a chainsaw and wood splitter because my cousin was unable to realize how much firewood she would need. Luckily, she lived in trees.
Working to keep up with life like that is dreamy, baby. Just dreamy. If I wasn't embarrassed about where I live, I would propose a house swap during the winter months.

I also supplemented the propane with wood heat, (I would also gather coal from the railroad tracks, really kicked the heat up but one did not want to put to much coal in a wood stove) I was younger then and cut that myself, not going to happen these days. And our gov wants wood banned, along with propane and natural gas. But is that coal fired plant cleaner than my gas heat, I dont think so?! I just paid the highest natural gas heating bill I have ever had, almost half of the bill is a charge for reading the damn meter via radio, but at least I get to stay warm, have hot water to bath in even if the lights go out.
