#2 grow journal, Sour Diesel and Big Dirty

Well looks like I'm back at it already! I was warned, another journal was inevitable. I'll try to learn from mistakes and good fortunes and come up with a better one.
The ladies this time are 2 Sour Diesel and 1 Big Dirty. And a few SD minions to fill in bare spots.
The Sour diesel came from cuttings started in mid or late October. The big dirty is a seed I got out a top shelf eighth from a dispensary here. It sprouted late October. I ran a test with a cutting from it and yeah baby it's a girl! No doubt about it. I'll harvest this lone soldier in a a week or two I think.
I'm sharing a couple pics, baby pics if you will, of their youth as young up and coming dilettantes.
Sour diesel we all know it, sativa, easy growing, heavier yields, they should be easy. Big dirty on the other hand, it's my mysterious stranger, that one night stand I know nothing of. I can't find much about it other than that the buds the seed came from were purple and beautiful and the high was memorable. Closest parent i could dig out is dirty girl, some sativas dominant hybrid...anyone with a lead gets first dibs on scissor hash. The local grower who sold it to the dispensary has disappeared apparently.
The set up is the same as previously, I only revamped the scrog, removed 10" from the sides, my back thanks me already, and added about 16" to one end. I also weaved smaller squares, 3" or so, 6" was too wide.
Lighting is still 2x 1200w leds, 8 bulbs t5 bay mix of red and blue, x4 cfls 42w soft white, x4 cfls 23w soft white(replacing those with 42w asap). x4 6" can vents. 70 pint dehumidifier. 1500w space heater for night temps. Saturn 5 controller as CPU. 12/12 on from noon to midnight. Temps are set on 77 daytime and 67 at night, 35% Rh.
The plants I just stuck under the scrog are big and tall. Right now they're in the dark for about 18 hrs but I know there'll be some chopping needed tomorrow. For now I'm looking forward to this new grow.
    Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there everyone, almost Friday right?!?! In the meantime here's a few minutes of scrog porn for those of you who are into that sort of things! This was the first pruning on the first day of flowering. I took a lot out. We'll see what the stretch bings this time...

ah fuck it! I love my ladies that's all there is to it and after today's session I think they look hot!
seriously though, after this last haircut they had time to settle down and perk up so today I reorganized a bit this beautiful mess. That's what I want to show you, the after pictures. Enjoy, and hopefully I'll find the strength to wait 7 whole days before posting again...

I did it! 7 days without posting! Time to catch up!
We're on day 10 of flowering here at Lucky Acres. That round of defoliation and thinning was the right thing at the right time I think. I was able to bring many more branches out into the light, some that were covered by leaves (big dirty has huge fan leaves!), some that were stuck under the scrog, exposed some, cut some... and some that had just no idea whatsoever where the hell they were heading! There's a slight overflow along some edges but I kinda like it like that, jungle boogie kinda scrog!
They had 2 rounds of feeding since day 1, the transition diet, tonight they're getting their first round of flower nutes, they'll need a flush after that me think! So far they're looking great though, no N burn, couple heat burns but that's been resolved, gotta love those light hangers, life savers those things. Overall clean bill of health for these pretties.
On the chapter "When technology messes with Lucky", cuz it's never simple, for whatever reason the breaker box (aka the night tripper) has been giving me grief this week. I had this balancing act between lights during day and heater during night, it was working fine but I must have tweaked something small enough...the heater would keep on running when the lights came on, overloading that poor breaker, 20 amps mind you. Anyways, kicked the heater to the curb and replaced it with a different one that I run thru the Saturn night outlet. Not the most power efficient but that'll get me through.
The second version of the scrog is way better and might just do the trick the way it is. It's sturdier, better use of squares, and that extra foot gone along the sides, way more space to walk around without sacrificing much canopy. The leds can cover so much space anyways.
I think I may have seen a pre flower last night but I was pretty baked and couldn't find it today,😋 hopeful thinking most likely...
              Well, that's all folks!
As always, thanks for stopping by.
              Cheers!

i dunno if this is an option for you but i drilled a hole through the sheetrock in the closet that is now a growroom to the bathroom on the other side of the sheetrock and thereby had somewhat easy access to an additional outlet/20 amps... i wasn't having breaker problems tho, just did it as a preventative measure.

Thanks man but believe me it's maxed out. I need $1500 to get a sub panel installed. It's bad though. Like Christmas lights were on this year from 4pm to about 7pm max or shit would just trip! I ended up turning off the lights way early I was so tired of it...the kids understood...i think...

. well that sucks. i had to replace the breaker box after i lived here for a couple years because it was always doing funky shit like that. come to find out it had been RECALLED back in the like early 80s because it was a certified FIRE HAZARD. in case the electrician was tryin to job me, i googled the company and the model...lo, to my great dismay, he was 100% truthful. oh well. i sleep better at night now. but yeah, that $$ ate my lunch for a while...

Beautiful ladies! I was going to do the same thing: access the electrical from the adjacent room to add an outlet in the closet. Using a circuit from your bathroom, if done correctly, will also give you a ground fault protected circuit. BONUS!

Oh man thats messed up bob, close one!
So I just got back from work, guess what tripped?!?! I'm a slow thinker with anything electrical but I think I got it pinpointed...again...It should be cool running from now on.
So I have 12 year old panel on the house, 200amps. I pull about 35 for my grow(2x20amps breakers), add to that regular house usage and the wife's sewing paraphernalia and her iron in particular, there's just nowhere to go. I'd like to replace my t5 bay and cfls with a 300w hps but I haven't sat down yet to do my amp math circus...
