I have a couple of Mama Mia growing in a tent in soil. The seeds were a couple of years old but germinated starting nicely until I think a read too much about overwatering and underwatered. But they and a couple others have made a comeback but now appear to have magnesium deficiency. Once I restabilized my grow and saw some yellowing I thought nitrogen deficiency so I watered with a Fox Farms 6-4-4 not much change, then I thought lights too close raised the lights a smidgen of improvement. Now it has continued and looks like the examples of magnesium deficiency provided on the Grow Weed Easy site and others. I've deduced that may be it and have mixed a good table spoon of epsom salt into a gallon of water then adjusted ph to about 6.5 so now I've now sprayed and added a little by watering. Is it a good procedure?

Magnesium deficiency are epsom salts good?

1 tablespoon/ gallon may be a bit heavy. I’d go with a teaspoon/gallon but otherwise I agree with your plan.Failure is an opportunity for improvement!!

If you have already established PH is not the issue. Most of the time, it’s the PH or watering/draining technique that causes issues I see on this site.4x4 600w HID empty for summer
3x3 400w HID with Bruce Banner and Skywalker Kush
2x2 65w Quantum Board LED with 4 mother strains
running all simultaneously for a perpetual harvests.

I guess I some how need to check my run off for ph. I'm soil in fabric 3 gallon pots and my runoff has been minimal. I may still be tentative because of being brainwashed about overwatering. But I'm having fun trying to learn. Pretty old and dense which is better than not.

Got Picts? Easier to judge when there is that visual inspection.
Just put a little extra drink/feed in the container. Make sure to measure ph prior to soaking. When it comes out, you can suck it up with a turkey baster and test it inside a cup. Test the ph and compare the difference.
Just for an easy example, If the ph Going into the soil is 6 and the runoff is 6.5... then the soil ph is about 7.
Or, if in is 6 and out is 5.5 then the soil is around 5.
Just remember that ph in is a defined number and ph out is also a defined number. To solve for the soil ph it’s about half way in between the two.
