    How tall is everyones manifolds

I'm wondering how tall people are growing their manifolds. The only way I can see finishing in the time frame the tutorials claim I to switch to 12/12 as soon as it's set up, and letting it finish up however.
when I bought my tent i made sure to get one 7' tall so that i can finish with a 36" tall plant with a little breathing room for my light.
The pix shown is my white widow i started in mid Nov. I just flipped to 12/12 two days ago when it reached 18" (3.5 month veg time). I'm thinking this beast is gonna double in height threw the stretch.
Im perfectly fine with this as I'm very impressed with my results so far. Oh yeah I'm lucky I don't have to pay hydro. But with a 90 day flower time with white widow I just dont see how you can grow a 36" plant in 4 to 5 months without flipping to flower as soon as all the topping is done.
so...how tall your manifolds at harvest?

Howdy MrMagic I'm in the same boat with autos. My first grows. It's painful to watch. Slow motion.
I'm planning a new 3x3x6 with a 600 watt LED. I figure my maximum height to be 42", considering an 18" flowering distance. With training, I can easily add another foot. I've grown three foot tall plants with only two of those feet being vertical.
What is your minimum flowering canopy distance?
    C'mon, mule!

I using a 36x36x7' tent and I figured max plant height of 36" as my post are big. Leaving me roughly 36" for light clearance if I go right to the ceiling. The problem I have now is my light is to powerful for this tent. It's a 1000w led tolys light I got for cheap of Amazon. I went with a 1000w as I figured it was just an el cheapo, and I'd be getting 400w to 500w max. Nope this thing cranks. As u can see if you look closely i have a bit of tip burn and need every inch of that 36" headroom. I've set my light around 30" or so, I know I need to go a little higher but a bit of burn shouldn't hurt much i hope

Vegetative Coverage at 24": about 4x4ft
      Flowering Coverage at 18":about 3x3ft
This is what I found about your light distances @Mr.Magic. If you flower as high as 24", you would gain another foot. How are your temperatures and circulation? I ran a 300 watt LED in my 2x3 and couldn't keep the temperature below 80°. That 1000 watt has to be a cooker.

My temps are perfect I go as low as 24°c at night and 27°c max daytime. I average about 25 to 26°c daytime. I have good circulation I have a tower fan that works really well.
24 and 18" are the manufacturers recomended heights but it became very clear that it was to close. I was getting light burn bad. This could have added to my veggie time. I went to 36" and worked my way down till it burned. I then raised 2" and that seemed to work. I still get a bit of burn at 30" but it seems that they seem to like that height without over stretching.
it took prolly 2 to 3 weeks to get my height set properly which I'm sure added to veg. I should mention that I hit em full blast full light right from the beginning. Both veg and bloom lights on. I did this as I read mixed opinion on weather to u just the veg or bloom light only, or just to give them both lights on for the full grow. So I'm thinking the recomended heights are based on using just the veg or just the bloom setting.

That makes a lot of sense about the veg/bloom angle. That might have been my issue, too. Thanks! Give the switches a go.

Manifolding seems to mean different things to folks.
I don't know if what I do is 'manifolding', but I try to top at the 4th node, remove the 1st and 2nd node growth and leave the 3rd node. I let the new growth on the 4th node develop a couple of new nodes and then top those back to the first node-set. That gets me a total of 6 main colas I then spread out in a trellis net. I have the fist net at 12" above the pot and a 2nd trellis 12" above that. I have about 7' of headroom in my space so the plants can get to about 30-40" total height.

That's cool you let them get that tall. That is the same procedure I followed. (Nebula's manifold thread) although I did accidentally snapped a branch clean off.
Ur plants look awesome. Its gonna be hard to wait another 90 days lol. How long did it take to grow those beauties

Yeah that's a test for my next grow. This has been an experiment in manifolding for me so I'm following this procedure to the end of harvest. I have 2 more white widow seeds to try with just the veg light and just bloom for my next grow for comparison. I expect those yields to be lower so I set it up so that I'll have my outdoor crop to fall back on at the end of summer if the yields are low. For now I need a decent crop cause I hate store bought weed and i need meds up in here again. (Last summer's crop went Male on me and i didn't get a gram).
I tried this manifold idea cause I like the validity of the idea, and the concept seems very logical. I wanted a way to get max yield and potency in a small area; it just made sense to me.
I'm curious about how tall other people's plants are that manifoled

So I have all different sizes in both stages. Trying to get bigger each grow cause I want multiple oz per plant. Sizes in this flower tent range from about 19-24", the other tent probably 12-20" (didn't measure that one), and the veg range from 11-19"so far but still giving them time because I want them around 4-4.5' tall at harvest. The single hydro one is about 19" but is about 2.5-3' around and is going to be a beast! I think it's all really personal preference and space requirements on this one honestly.

All the ones in veg were put in rapid rooters end of November so about 3 months from seed. The height difference is mainly because I have multiple strains going otherwise they'd all be about the same. The hydro one is a clone I cut mid-December, only really has 3 main colas that really bushed out but will ultimately be many colas. Size depends on a lot of things. Over or under watering, nutrients, growing medium, lighting, temperature and humidity I think are the main factors that really mess with growth. If any of those is off it can slow things down drastically. I personally don't really pay attention to my humidity but I try to keep everything else within a decent range. I'm honestly surprised the hydro ones are doing so well, I've been neglecting them a little. The big one has already almost run out of water twice now, she's a thirsty girl that's for sure.

Ok cool so I'm to far behind then. I knew I would end up with an extended veg time as I had soooooo much problems in the beginning. Also I knew I had the headroom to stretch them out 36"+. What I'm trying to wrap my head around now is; how to get a 36" harvested plant In 4months. Without suffering quality. I just dont see it with white widow strain anyway.

Yeah some strains will be impossible in that time period because of the long flowering time.

Very nice Miguel817 I'm hoping to cut down my grow time on the next one. I think I just had way to many problems in the beginning and added a month or so

Was in doing some light pruning and thought I'd share this pic. It's the main branch and you can see where I broke the 4th branch off. That's a big ass knuckle imo
