    Drying in light or dark

I have plenty of circulation either in my tent or hanging by an open door with a good breeze. I'm not in a rush to get my crop dried.
Drying in my tent would mean dark. In the breeze would be ambient sunlight. Is there a difference in quality etc. by drying in light or dark?

Yes. THC degrades in light on a cut plant. I think it's specifically UV light that is the problem, but id rather be safe than sorry. Here is a link to an article that has that info https://potguide.com/pot-guide-marij...rade-cannabis/

That being said, i dont know how much it would degrade and being that it would only be exposed during parts of the drying period im not sure if it would effect it enough to be concerned about it. But i guess it depends on how much light is "ambient sunlight". A soft glow, no problem. Bright reflection off white paint might be bad.

Always dry in the dark with a fan circulating the air. But not aimed directly on the buds, that will dry them too quickly.

You CAN dry with indirect light- but should always cure in darkness!

Thanks, y'all. They're coming down from the indirect. No direct circulation. My darkened tent will be the drying room.

Direct sunlight is the enemy. A little indirect light won’t hurt your benchmarks enough to be considered significant. Long term storage should be completely dark though.
