I know seeds need heat and moisture for rooting but what kind of light do they need?

Many grow lights work well for growing cannabis indoors. The 3 main types are: fluorescents (T5s), HIDs (Metal Halide, HPS, CMH) and LEDs. Learn how to pick the best option for your setup!

Bigslick the seedlings need light right away I use t5s with hortalux super veg bulbs but any lower wattage type of light,distance is important to if your seedlings are stretching move it closer ,if you can hold your hand under it for a few minutes without burning it then your oknew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds

Agree with the others. Cfl's are the way to go in seedling/clones. The problem with HID and LED is they are too powerful for a little newborn. You CAN use HID and LED but the lights need to be far away so as not to overwhelm the seedlings. I have found that cfl seedlings grow quicker.
