Decided to try one pot, two plants. Larger one is an AK-48, with a really huge fan leaves the size of my palm. Small one is Northern lights, faulty seed, took a long time to germinate (full day later than AK-48) First time I grow more than one at the time.

AK is topped, NL is not.

Light - LED chips DIY: 180W 395nm UV + 300W full spectrum + 100W cool white ( power is variable, this is not maximum, but the power I run them on average ) + yesterday I installed side LED lamps 70W total.

Pot: 20-25l, with holes all throughout the sides.

      Soil: peat + black earth.

      Tent: 70x70 cm 150cm high.

It is day 48 since I started to germinate seeds, the 7th day in the 12-12h cycle. Invested 343 kWh in light and cooling/ventilation so far. Plants have been taken care of like babies only once I forgot to water them and they withered for a few hours. No bugs, really lucky grow.

2nd picture is main branch of NL, 5th picture is topped AK - splitting in two branches.

White balance of camera and side lamps make them look yellow, they are not at all.

filling out nicely and very hard to see well done ,I could be pulling the 15 I have in the green house it was supposed to be in the low 30s last night, they are all ready tric wise I'm just trying to let them bulk up

Hi all, here's my girls. They were flipped a week ago today. The Critical crack showed first signs of white hairs 2 days ago and the Fat bananas showed theirs yesterday. Gave them their first dose of bloom nutes yesterday at a quarter strength but they are showing signs of nute burn at the tips again. They had their first dose of calmag yesterday as well so that should fix my magnesium issue although the problem hasn't got any worse since i first spotted it. Going to hold off giving nutes untill i've looked into my soil a little more. Doesn't state that it has nutes in it on the packaging but i have this feeling that maybe it does. I was getting slight nute burn with the veg nutes with any more than a quarter dose and they've not had those for nearly a week. Anyway here's some pics, Critical Crack at the front fat bananas at the back.

yeah they seem a little sensitive to nutes but otherwise seem fairly robust, at least i think they must be considering the conditions mine had at start.

Love those strains that start stinking up the place as soon as they develop leaves! Maybe not for outdoors in suburbia, but definitely for inside😁

8 weeks today for these two autos. The big girl is a Strawberry Cheese from Seedsman. The other is a NYC Diesel from Advanced Seeds. The diesel is covered in trichomes with smaller buds. I’ll be lucky to get an oz from her. On the other hand, I’m hoping to break my personal record and get 3 oz from the strawberry cheesecake.

I like that. I think i could get away with growing that in my garden at least until for veg period anyway lol. When i first saw that i wondered if they somehow used genetics from another plant to create it. but after a quick google found that's not the case. there's a little more info here. https://darkheartnursery.com/news/meet-the-freakshow/

This is my second grow with this light and it definitely made a difference in the quality of the bud.

Pistils showing on the 12 autos in bags. Would you folks switch to bloom nutes yet? They haven't even been fed full veg yet (made it to 75%). Only 28 days old. Using REMO nutes.
They were fed 4 days ago. Being autos, in big bags and still not drinking tons, it takes at least a week to dry out.

Nice tent ,my understanding is that when pistils show it is bloom nutes time you can feed veg nutes right up until pistils show, but for a week why worry about it , one thing I would try is to give them just enough water for 3 days ,increase as needed ,2 feeding per week is better than 1 lol

oldjarhead100 Ya I have been giving measured waterings. The plants just weren't drinking much until now. The moisture and weight was left over from premoistening the soil at planting. They are digging into the bags now and should be able to hit the 3 day mark now.

Looking good. I have used Remo nutes for 5 or 6 grows and I am very happy with the results. I look forward to the grow as it grows.

we have been harvesting our horrible growing year last Wed and Thursday ,and I watch my granddaughter on Fridays so that why I didnt get in to see the girls until sat. what a mistake ,I went to top them yesterday and found that they had grown about 14 inches in 3 days ,they also burned the shit out of themselves , so I adjusted the lights to 18 inches again and flipped them to 12-12 ,I had to bend one branch because it was over the lights lol not sure why this happened with the pictures

Well shoot oldjarhead100 dang it sometimes our grows take the back seat in our lives. Man you got a full tent. Slowly plants are coming to harvest out our way. Having good rain for a couple days helped with keeping smoke down. We got all our wood in the shed but got to pull irrigation pump and pipes from the river today we get a break in rain. I'm harvesting OG kush still down to 1 plant yet to harvest of that strain. Thai skunk is jarred and curing. Gotta scope my Mango plants i think they may be next but the GSC is close too. Yes i'm running out of jars thank you

Some harvest pics. 8 hours trimmed over 2 days. Looking forward to shutting down and taking a break over winter.

Thanks SoOrbudgal! I sure am pleased with this grow and it’s been great sharing it with you all. I actually discovered the start of bud rot and had to cut the top off a couple of huge colas during harvest. Lost about an oz of wet cola but I took it apart and I’ve kept about half of the good looking buds for the bubble pile. I had 9 plants on the go this year and it was just too much for me. Now I’m taking winter off with my weed to think about next grow. Good luck with the rest of yours and hopefully you get a nice harvest for Xmas

Thanks OJ. The scissors are made by chikamasa. They’re Japanese and very good quality, highly recommend them.

The GG#4 and Wedding Cake are almost ready to harvest. 10 to 15% amber on the GG and a bit less for the WC. They both needed support and have been a joy to grow. No problems this grow at all.
Harvested a White Widow that grew more sativa like. 392 grams wet. 30% amber or so. the 2 WW clones are both getting closer to maturity as well. I am very happy with how things went this year. GWE and company are to blame...

White Widow : The trichome pics don't show the amber well but under the 10 power loupe they are clearly everywhere.

Thanks CaptainW. I just try and give them the basics and then leave them alone to do their thing. Guess the growers here have rubbed off on me some as the growing has gotten easier with results that make me, my wife and several friends happy.

Hey John nice job ,something to be said for leaving them alone ,My fried gets his outside plants from me so they are the same as mine and he doesn't do a thing to them except tops them ,and his buds a a lot bigger than mine ,I think next year I will do a side by side one trained and one left alone

Hey OJH. It's not that I leave the plants alone with no training. I topped 2 plant at 21 days old or so and then did some LST here and there and trimmed fan leaves. But for the most part I just give ph/d nutrient solution as needed and keep the light at a decent height as they grow. Keep an eye on humidity and temperatures. But my fussing as I did with earlier grows has settled to a calm enjoyable pastime.

The GG#4 and WC pics and the WW clones.
