Here's my little ones at 3 weeks from seed. This under 24/0 induction (basically a fluorescent bulb but bigger) at 12" from light. Browse the other grow journals to compare and customize it to what fits you best. I doubt you even know what that is yet, but you will.Originally posted by DrunkInHatchy View PostThanks everyone i appreciate thw advise and im sure the babies will too.
i do have a question. How do i know if a plant is stretching compared to just growing normally?2 Photos

It will just chill after it sprouts...won't grow in height but just a bit...if you notice growth upwards every day then it's trying to stretch to light....when it just chills your in there..roots are banging away stalk is getting thicker....you'll know...

Welcome drunk <---or maybe Hatchy for you
No not normal for a seedling to lay down...I'd guess water is the culprit can you be real careful and put in in a new dirt with less water?Bubblehead

Thanks for the reply. I did have a feeling i over watered so i let it dry out. I mmight have let it dry to much and thats why i think it fell over. I just added a little water nothing major. Just enough to get the soil moist.Originally posted by Karlee View PostWelcome drunk <---or maybe Hatchy for you

I grow DWC ( deep water culture ) I love it and recommend it for first grows, dirt so many water problems plus you transplant a lot to learn right off the bat! I hope she comes around . I can't see but is the light close to them it will help I'd florescent 24/7 in veg.Bubblehead

So its been 1 week from germination started on 12/14/16 at 2:30pm. (4 days since it broke surface from the dirt) and i think its going great. Ive been checking on them twice a day just to make sure they are doing good still. When i checked today i noticed the second set of true leaves starting to come out. Im excited and i think the babies are too. Pics are also included in this post.2 Photos

I'm excited for you Drunkin! 😊 They are looking perkier, and if you continue with this painstakingly slow beginning period you will be rewarded. Just follow the Kind soil recommendations before transplanting into it (keeping it at bottom and using some other less "hot" medium on top). Hot supersoil will be too strong until later when the plants are much bigger and growing vigorously. I'm loving it so far for my current grow...check out the thread I have going on Bubba 2. Cheers! 🌻

Thanks ill go check it the thread. I have a quick question. The directions say 2.5 kind soil. Do i keep it that way or should i leave 2 at the bottom then mix the 0.5 in the middle and rest regular medium? Im going to wait before i transplant but i want to be semi prepared. Im thinking about buying the recommend soil but i dont know if ill be able to get it in time to transplant. I dont know if any stores carry it.Originally posted by rockman View PostI'm excited for you Drunkin! 😊 They are looking perkier, and if you continue with this painstakingly slow beginning period you will be rewarded. Hello again. Here is the website that explains the soil and recommendations. For each gallon container use one pound Kind soil. It all goes on bottom, then fill top with something like coco loco (which Nugs is using) or Ocean Forest (what I'm currently using), or something similar. Hope this helps! 🌱

Thanks for the info but now im a little confused. The website says to use 3 lbs for autoflowers in 2/3/5 gallon pots. But the kind soil bag says to use 2.5 lbs. Should i follow the direction's on the bag since its probably newer information then the website? I took a screen shot of the website and took a picture of the bag.2 Photos

Yeah, that is a little confusing. Like you said, they bag info is probably more current. What size pot are you planning to move to? I wouldn't be too concerned whether an auto should have either 2.5 or 3 lbs for the amount. I could be wrong, but I would just go for 1 lb per gallon pot. They probably lowered it to 2.5 cause autos may not need as much as larger photos, but I've an auto now with 5 lbs of kind soil in 5 gallon container, and so far I'm only seeing spectacular results (fingers crossed). Maybe I'm overdoing it....time will tell! 🌻
