My First Grow Time Lapse

So for my first grow I wanted a better way to monitor wtf the plants were doing and how they were responding to my actions so I bought a cheap security cam on amazon that has time lapse functions/sd card slot (wyze cam $30) +32 gb card (7$). I'm still trying to dial in the right settings so i just have a few short videos to start.

Might start a grow journal here, i have been keeping one on paper. But wanted to share the time lapse idea and get some feedback on how they are looking.

This is my first grow. 3 Gelato fem(seedman gelatog) + 3 Gorilla Zkittz fem (barneys farm)
Light: Led substrate/ 9x100wLogic Pucks(not lighting all of them or full power yet, and have them at 30" because was afraid of too much light for young plant.)
Medium: coco loco.. coco+pealite mix
Nutrients: Canna Coco A+B + canna rhizotonic, cannazym , Boost trio

They are 6-10 days from germination(breaking surface) in these

How are they looking? I know one of them has had some strange looking leaf the entire time and is going slower than others.

New vid, Still waiting on the main tent to get a longer segment but they are looking ok I think.

This is the plant I have been concerned about the entire time, it was slow to make any leaf during germ and most of them have looked twisted/strange as they come out. I move it from led tent to under a 6500k cfl hoping that would be more 'mild' on it? It is growing still but nothing like the other ones and still looks strange.

My main reason was to diagnose issues with the plants, and people here always want pictures... so a video is worth 1000 pictures right? haha, I am liking the video just to watch them grow though, plant porn

Brilliant ! F#^%ing brilliant. I just love that slow motion bird in flight look as the fans move up and down so gracefully. I have three of those cameras.... never read the manual especially time lapse. Guess what I’m doing next ? Love man....great videos great idea

New video, longest one yet. Any ideas about the two stragglers? One was looking bad for a bit and one has had strange leaf the entire time but is growing faster now. I top all but one in this vid.

I know it’s just time lapse. But the way you’ve applied that $30 camera and made it work so well knocks me over. Add that to the graceful growing views and it’s freaking poetry. As for the odd one, these are all the same strain or is this one something else. To me, it seems that by the end, she picks up nicely. Are you transplanting this week?

they got transplanted right after that video, will be i next vid. most of them were pretty root bound in the cups, i waited too long, the two stragglers had roots all the way through but not nearly as much as others and not root bound. will post pics later

Great video, I have a WYSE camera as well running a time lapse, but it is taking every 30 min from 12/16/19 or so untill 2/27/19 on my fist grow. I can't wait to download the whole thing. My buds are still developing, so I will probably have to start another one I have a alarm set to remind me when it stops. I ended up buying 2 more for security. I need to get one more for my veg tent now.

you can stop an save a time lapse video at any time, you dont have to wait for the set end just FYI. mine runs on 3 min atm 20 pic/hr

I have been using these cameras at an alternate location for security in a way...just to check on any movement in the shop when I’m not there and it’s always on. Beyond that, I also have the larger ones with pan/tilt. But on all of them, I never read the paperwork on setup beyond getting tied into the internet.

Is there anything crazy you need to do for setup as time-lapse?

No all you need is a MicroSD card installed in the camera. I set mine when I installed the camera and it goes untill 2/27/19 that was as far out as I can go. I have an alarm set to start it again when it finishes. I should have almost my whole grow recorded. When I had my LED light in the big tent, I had it magnet stuck on the light, now it is stuck to my fan because i switched to HPS light with reflector and it was aluminum and no place to put magnet.

Just make sure you don't fill the card up or make too big of a video, I had some issues with mine until I set the time lapse to a few mins, did seconds once and could not get video download off there
