I want to setup a second area/tent for veg. My main tent has 9x 100w led pucks in a mix of 3000k and 4000k 301b chips with some 660 red. I want to setup a second tent more focused on veg using a smaller space and hopefully less light/power. Space will be something like a 2x2 or 2x3(half a closet). I'm wondering should I build another led fixture with 4000-5000k chips and maybe 200watts of power?(would cost 150-250) Or should I look at 4 H0 t5 6500k lights in a 2 ft fixture (power something like 100 watts? Cost about 120-150) I want to be able to support a full veg cycle under them.

I use this dimmed at 50% power and 30- 36" distance to start seedlings: https://www.rapidled.com/single-100w...ed-grow-light/ and then dial it up to full power-
Then switch to this: https://growlightcentral.com/product...8aAiesEALw_wcB in a 2x4 tent.
Each light covers 4x4 in veg and 2x2 in flower- so you would only need one.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

Thats actually exactly what I have for my 9 main lights in tent only on a 4x4 substrate instead of singles, Im only lighting a row 3 of the pucks at 90% (280w) around 30 inches, maybe Im going too much light on my younglingss right now?

I have 2 (100w) in a 2x4 tent- placed one foot from the edge and 18" on center between the lights- to capture maximum overlap.
I don't think I will need a third, but that's an option.
I like single lights- right now 2 plants are under the Optic1XL and 2 younger plants under the Chilled @60% as they were having slight light stress issues at the moment.

I just looked at your lights-
You only need 4 or 6 lights (max) for that tent, as these CoB's reach max umoles @ 16.5 "-18" hanging to cover a 2x2 area.
The rest of the energy will be wasted, as heat.
Unless of course you have a closed system.

Here is the confuguration - pic taken tonight.
The 5 gallon plants were transplanted 4 days ago @ day #12 from germination @28-29" from CoB's.
I use a homemade cloner to keep moisture up- and will clone one plant (trying to get seeds)
All the fans are on the left side- intake/canopy circulation/exhaust with a small fan on the floor to assist with the wet/dry cycling for a bit.Last edited by Weed Pharma; 02-05-2019, 06:07 PM.It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

Yes, 16 days above ground-not counting germination.
The white fabric plant is older by about 1 week- from this thread: https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...e-rodelization

Colombo, No it's a simple 1 1/2 gallon bucket with an air stone in it - that I clone with.

I'm on my first grow. However, I have to say T5's are a good way to go for low watts and good results during veg. I have a single muffin fan venting/cooling my 1'x2'x4.5' veg chamber while running 2 T5's. One for circulation, too. I can't tell you temperature or humidity or the ilk.
I only have pictures of the single bulb setup. They're showing seedlings that were on my balcony for 6 days and 6 more T5 day's growth. The leaves have grown to touch the bulbs on two occasions with no damage Please excuse the clear pots. I have learned my lesson.
If I play my cards right I can have a harvest every 5 weeks. 3-4 weeks early veg. 3-4 for late veg. 6ish for flowering. Beware of your tent size vs. light fixture size, should you go T5. I bought a 2', 1 bulb fixture. If the electric plugs into the side you're adding a few inches to it's overall length. In a 2' tent, you're going to make a bulge. I can't speak for a solid side box.
Great on electricity!
