You got something nice going on there Wattze. She sure is looking perky. Slow down on the watering a little. A gallon is a lot for that size plant. Other then that, she is a beauty.

With any other situation I'd have to agree! And I do agree, these were takin immediately following a watering, so she was a little droopy lol and I took her out of her tent for a few minutes.. but that smart pot is making it difficult to spread out my waterings! About 3 days seems to be a max before her first inch of soil is dry and the pot is light.. I think she has a crazy awesome root system, or at least I'm hoping so lol but I'll definitely try to! I don't want her getting to dry and getting stunted from it.. lol I mean, it's soil, there's always going to be something in there I feel, but with the smart pot, I can't be too sure lol

But having oxygen for the roots is a major plus. I fave to feed/water every 4 the day actually I've never grown in anything but a smart pot.

I completely agree! What medium do you use? And does it differ from soil to soil? I'm using happy frog right now, and I love the drainage on it!

I'm in Platinum Cyco coco coir/perlite. And..if I add one more ounce of weight to these pots wet (x8) I will probably blow a disk lifting them in and out of the tent
I DOvfind smart pots in tan color drain slower...I prefer all black.

I can understand that.. this is just a little 3 gallon smart pot, and it's only the one plant, so it's very manageable lol but yes, I'll water her a little less, just don't want her to slow down!!

    #64
Tika I'm worried you lifting these plants , don't get me wrong they are beautiful plants but you blow a disk and no more lifting for alooooong time.

    How about this for ya!

Karlee! Funny you should post this! Last week I was searching sculpture stands so that I can turn plants easily while defoliating/LST because they get too big for my sink counter. And was seeking an item that could go up and down as well..to view from top for fan leaves blocking buds..would need to drop to 24 " and rise to 36 min.
SO! I actually did look at medical trays. And I think this image is where I left off. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.
AND the rolling aspect enables one to put the plant in good light for photos!!!
      You are a dear!
      Thank you

    Day 29 (Day 16 veg)

Hello all, Before I spit out to much here, I'll just give the essentials.
    -Temps are 77-85 (low-high points)
    -RH staying around 30-32%
    -Gave her a watering
--3ml per gallon of nutes (PH of gallon @ about 6.4-6.6)
---gave entire gallon (4th day since last watering)
----PH runoff staying consistent @ 6.8-7.0

Started some LST last night actually (11-05-16) and her her turn up again this morning, and I did a little more to bring them down again and try to even things out.. I'm posting this about 8 hours from when I last LST'd so the tops are already turned up again. They're not all entirely even, but I'm going to let her grow just a little bit more and do it again lol but I'm going to see how she's doing in the next few days, and we can go from there.
Im spacing out my waterings a little longer, and you guys are totally right, she definitely likes that oxygen in there, even if she's feeling a little light! So I'm looking to potentially space it to about every 4 days, give or take on the environment.

I think im going to leave her in veg for at least another 2-3 weeks.. it's nice getting her prepared for a flower, and I think if she's more mature, she's going to yield more for me.. I'm not in any rush as of right now, so we're gonna have some fun and take our time!

    P.s.
I'll post a picture or two here after a few to show how she's looking after turning back up with a little more space for each branch

This her about 12 hours after her LST, and I actually have a question.
How do you guys feel about defoliation in this stage? I think it'll help, and I'm thinking very heavily that she can handle it lol but any feedback is awesome 😊

Take them all but the two attached at the tops....then leave them alone for two weeks or so...

Haha Greenie will have your lady shivering if it were up to him. I do agree that some defoliation would be recommended. When I defoliate I try to expose as many new nodes to light as possible. I will typically leave an outer ring of fan leaves circling the plant since they're not blocking any new growth from getting light. As long as you're getting good airflow inside the middle and new growth has light, I'm happy.

I also try not to remove small or newer fan leaves unless they're below my lollipop line.

            Hey guys!

nothing to big going on in this update, except a major defoliation! I opened up the middle and gave those lower nodes a chance to hopefully start to develop some shoots! It might've been a little major, but I definitely think she'll be okay, and make a quick recovery.

These are my before and after shots, it might have to be in 2 different posts, but I hope you enjoy!

Very nice wattze... She will bounce back super quick...they love to be cut.....they can't help but to make leaves it's up to us to remove them ......(for our benefit)

They don't need all those leaves...!!!!!

I agree! Plus the growth is just to major after a trimming, I'm way to convinced that it helps out for the good lol but thank you Green, I'm excited to see how those tops will turn out!

Your plants look nice! They've got a really great base now. As a general rule of thumb, it's recommended to switch them to the flowering stage when they're about half the final desired height, since many plants will about double in height after the switch to 12/12. Overall, they are very healthy, and I bet they turned back up and started growing again by the next day! Soon they'll be huge and you'll wonder where all the time went

The tops have turned back up and she is looking so good! I've never had a plant look so good at this point before, but I hope to have many more! And time has flown by already, I didn't even realize it's been over a month! I've been thinking really hard about putting her in flower, I might stay on my schedule and flip em next week.. but thank you so much, Nebula! I'm happy you're on this thread as well 😊
