Sure as long as stealth isn't a problem and people don't notice it to often that's why an AC kit just looks better and people won't be like what is that in the window. There are some cool window vent tricks that make things more stealthy.

It's a window kit that has a vent hole and blocks the air keeping pests and water out just Google AC window kit you'll see. It's not an actual AC just the kit to vent it out the window.

Well it might but I don't think it will be steaming a whole lot . Does steam roll out the window when you open it? Lol it would still look better then cardboard and there are some you tube videos on ways to vent out the window. Maybe just crack the window and set exhaust on the sill just watch the temp for a few hours. I have my window open but it's not in the teens here. Exhaust is just sitting on the sill with the curtains closed lol going to have to get something myself with the rain were having but the window is fairly well protected from water. not sure on the effects of upper 80 air being vented out into the really cold temps. But I don't think it will lol let me know.

I run my 8 inch ventilation tube into the attic by using a ceiling bathroom vent (I own my house no renting. ) I run a 600 watt cool tube kept cool by a 8 inch 747CFM fan in my small tent no problem (73 to 74 above at full power)

Hey guys, sorry i disappeared. I just got home from work about an hour ago and set to rearranging my exhaust like many of you mentioned. I ended up moving the tent out of the closet and ran a longer piece of ducting. For now it's just attached to an old tote lid that just about fits the window; and a white pillow tucked against the small gap leftover. The radiator in the room has been dialed back with the ceiling fan and the small 6" box fan in the tent. Ill be checking every couple of hours to see if it stabilizes. Besides that, all three of the seeds have sprouted after about 72hr. All praise the RR gods!

Morning Jack, that looks nice, I draw cold air 15-25degrees into my tent every day, My plants love their environment. Good Luck with yours.

Thanks DAAS, and thats actually the exhaust till i get a window unit like chef had mentioned. Im hoping that the extra air movement will bring the temp in the tent down considerabbly. There's a good amount of negative pressure inside the tent helping suck fresh air, about 70-75F from the surrounding room.

hey jack looking at your pictures I noticed that your ducting is way to long I would rearrange that cut it down so it stretches tight from one point to another ( for each 90 degree bend it increases the distants your air has to travel also you should have you filter attached to your light with the exhaust fan pulling air thought the light this will increase air flow ,in the pluming section of Lowes they have six inch exhaust ducts so you can remove a pane of glass and install this so you dont get drafts

Jack I'm sorry I only read the first page before speaking lol anyways it looks much better I like the tote cover idea ,for the cost I find that its better to have an exhaust port that does not allow back drafts . I have a 25 foot run on one of my exhaust fans and the only way I can get good airflow was to stretch the ducting tight then cut it to the desired length this allowed me to get the maximum air flow from the fan also if you run a short peice of garden hose from that window to your intake fan it will draw cold air into the room while keeping the rest of the area warm
