    Knowledge is power!
I agree that it is exciting to discover a problem... Because then you can fix it!

You post as much as you desire, that's the purpose of this forum, to become better growers. I cannot become the detailed observer as you are, so I rely on credible feedback from sources like you, providing quality observations about growing cannabis.
I can grow it but you all can show it. And thats what helps inspire new growers.

I bought the pH pen today. This thing is the cat's ass! I have a pH reading in about 15 seconds. Checked to see if that was crazy, came back 2 mins later still the same number. Also has a fine tune adjustment so it's exactly what it should be.
I checked all my reservoirs and my goodness,. Some were in the 3s! I wonder how long the probe on the combo pen was acting up. Its been looking like I have been having nute problems lately....considered changing nutes to see or maybe it was the switch to tap. Pretty sure it was the probe and can't wait to see what it does for my plants having it read proper.

These 17 gallon totes take up a lot of room too. But if I grow them big enough that should make up for it. After looking at the 10 gallon today I might just stick with 7s for fabric.

@Rosetta Stoned I use cloth bags now to I tried 5,10.and 7 gallon pots then someone posted about how Vivosun has a tan heavy duty 7 gallon that holds 7 gallons well I bought some and I really like them they are just a little bigger than 5s and they hold 7 gallons I found the 10s took to much room

Haha if I kept this updated more you would know more about my operations. I feel like I post too much as it is.
Yes, I have dwc going still. I don't check the pH on any soil plants I have. I didn't start having problem until recently and I think that was being root bound. Before that they were just fine. I hope to get four NTG containers going and use 7 and 10 gallon fabric also. I'll probably grow mostly soil just because I don't have to rely on bottles....and I like playing in the dirt. I feel there's more of a connection to soil for me, I don't know....maybe I'm weird, maybe it's the lineage of my mom's side (farmers).
I like hydro and will continue to do some, maybe even venture into a Coco grow. It's the organic part I want, if dwc could be organic I'd stay there.
:From what I understand any well built super soil will do everything for you. NTG is a step up because you don't have to buy new soil, microbes are already well established when you replant, and very little supplementation is needed (teas and top dressings). When it's getting weak I can add it to new batches to get the ball rolling faster on the breakdown. Also decide to make a worm bin to not have buy so much ewc, and for fun.

RosettaStoned From what I’ve learned about NTG NoTill Gardening is you don’t have to check pH. I haven’t checked mine evan once. Looking at your signature are you still running DWC with liquid nutes? As well as NTG

Do you get to have fun with color tests in the mean time?

Hooray, cleaned my meter and changed the batteries and now it doesn't calibrate. Can't get a new probe until Monday πŸ˜–πŸ˜© I guess my trip to the "gardening" store will include more than just terpinator. I've been wanting two pH meters anyway

Smartphone ( well that's true too) SmartPOTS are washable too. My hydro guy just gave me a lecture about it. No soap, cool water and at a laundromat!

When I'm in there I play music. Pretty sure the response I would get from singing to them would be death πŸ˜‚
