ok Birdshot all good info above you will get lots of help here some good advise and some questionable just remember there is usually six ways to do something so find what sounds right to you and stick with it

The other thing is has your wife tried stinging nettle your wife probably knows what it looks like outside but you can buy it at most healthfood stores or anywhere they sell herbs anyways they did studies in Europe and found that it reduced arthritis meds by half, I had a employee who was always limping at the end of the day so I asked him what was up, arthritis he said so I went to the van and got him a small bag to try two days later he asked if he could get some more ,he said it was the first time in years that his foot didn't hurt at the end of the day, ok so if you look around and can not find any private message me and I will send some to you for her to try ,maybe she will get some relief before your crop comes in.
Now if I was in your place ,I would think about doing Autos in Kind soil with another potting soil to go with it , then You will only have to water with phed water. it's the easiest way to grow that I've seen ,read up on the different ways to grow GWE. their are alot of us older people on the forum welcome

There is some great advice in this thread but I think oldjarhead and primos advice is the best for your situation, you want to get an end product asap and simplicity will be the key to your success given the circumstances. All the best.

It is a good idea to try some cannabis before you invest the amount of time/money it takes to grow.

An "autoflower" in roots organic original will make it start to finish, by adding a little epsom salts & dolomite to the soil, then water in -epsom salts twice during the grow<- yes it's that simple.

I never plant in containers larger than 3 gallons or use a hydro set up- for ease of handling, due to the weight and my chronic medical conditions.

As far as which strain to try- Gorilla Glue is available most places and is indicated for arthritis- having anti-inflamatory properties as well as, for pain.

Bubblicious (which can be grown on a window sill) is indicated for stress/depression and insomnia which often accompanies chronic conditions.

It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

If you do not want a lot of equipment, and want the easiest method of growing, then I would recommend one of the "just add water" growing mixes. You get a big fabric pot, put in the growing mix, and water your plant. You do need to understand a few things about your water source, and you do need to be able to adjust the "PH" of your water (very simple process). You can put that pot under a grow light or out in the sun.

This site is probably the best source of information I have seen for the beginner grower. This forum will get you a lot of opinions, but the tutorials are a better source for "directions" on how to grow this plant.

You will have 1000 questions and you can feel free to ask them all right here and plenty of people will try to answer them and help out along the way.

I sincerely hope your wife will benefit from this wonderful plant.

what I have learned so far:
          environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Does KindSoil have an odor?- I grow in my condo bedroom and am cautious about "smells" and so are my neighbors, lol- but very interested in trying it!

Hey WP, it really has a beautiful smell, your neighbors will not smell it either.
If you try it you will love it, plus if you send Phil some pictures he will keep you supplied with it. Really it's too easy, just put whatever your used to growing in on top half of your pot, and the KindSoil in the bottom half an add phed water and that's it.
Don't tell Phil I told you about the freebies if you don't mind. I don't think he would care
though, he is an old hippie.
I grow in my bedroom too, no problems at all with the smell.

It does have an odor....Dare I say it, an earthy smell, but nothing compared to ripening bud.

Like the others have said, it’s only got a mild, earthy smell.
