    The Green Pad CO2 Generator

Has anyone used or is currently using one or several of these Green Pad CO2 Generators? If so, what's been your experience using them? Seen any true differences? I'm thinking of purchasing the middle sized one used for grow tents which comes to around $30, but wanted to check if anyone's used them before. Just trying to raise my grow room's CO2 a bit without expensive, fancy equipment. Thanks.

I have seen them being used but have not used myself. I was told it works buy a person I don't think new what they were doing.
I want to try them next summer when the temps in my tents get up there. Right now my tents sit around 75 so no point in co2.
Please try and let us know your results.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still reading about CO2 and such. So if the room temps are low, adding CO2 ain't really necessary?

On a side note, I'm not 100% familiar with adding extra CO2 to the grow room. I've always had very good room temps/circulation throughout all my growths and never felt the need for it. However, seeing/reading about how adding a bit of extra CO2 can help, I thought I'd look into it. But after reading just a while ago this article here concerning adding CO2, I probably wont need it since the lights I will be using wont cause my temps to go too high for the CO2 to be effective. Anybody still uses CO2 generators even though your temps are in the high 70's F and you have great room circulation?

I haven't used it yet, tho I have a place to attach a tank.

I just sit there and breathe heavy on my plants, and I talk to them a lot.

My take is; you should determine what your CO2 ppm is around your grow area before you spend any money!
While the atmosphere ppm runs around 370-400ppm, occupied buildings can easily have twice that amount.

This was verified by another grower in my condo who measured it at 800ppm when he and his g/f were in the large grow room, but only after spending $$$ for CO2 set-up...

My flower tent is in my bedroom and the lights are on at night-all the while, CO2 is being generated by us-while we sleep in a similar size room as above.
I did not however, measure it, but can reasonably assume, I would get the same results as my neighbor's @800ppm.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

Thank you for that info. After more research I've decided to just wait and save my money for now. Don't feel I really need it at this time. Your info helps as well. Thanks again.

I remember the article on this site stated that extra co2 wasn't really needed if A.) The normal co2 levels in the room are adequate, and B.) The lighting wasn't too much for them. I believe it said only when the plants are getting more light than they need (like, really bright lights) is it necessary to add co2.

But it was a while back and I may not be remembering correctly

Yea, my grow room is my bedroom's walk-in closet and has plenty of ventilation. My babies are just over 2 weeks veg and are under some T5's (later will go under some LED's), so no lights stress there. They're looking good, so yea, not really needing that extra CO2. Thanks for your reply.

I noticed the post you made about deciding not to go with them occurred within a minute of my post lol. I wish my grow was right in my bedroom lol

Haha yea it's great having my babies right there next to me. I even opened the original wooden closet door completely and made a door similar to grow tent doors using black/white poly material for easier access and better ventilation.

Thanks for the info. Did they say what was the main complain? PPM's weren't as high as expected?

Thanks again for the info oldjarhead100. Guess I'll just save me that $30 and buy me a small fan I've been wanting instead.
