HELP! Will one night of cold (0- -3 or -4) ruin buds

Im growing 9 plants outdoors in pots, some sativa some indica. I live in BC Canada, weve had a few cold nights and theyve been fine but now its supposed to go to about -3°C and I'm wondering if they do freeze will it ruin the buds if I cut them down immediately the next day if they dont look good. Its supposed to be warmer the next few days as well.

Hi Feildy,
im a newbie. But I know that freezing will kill them. Last year we got a frost and I covered it up. I only had the one plant. But it works. Keep the frost off the buds. I put a blanket .then a tarp. Just to make sure. Worked great.

covering them is about the best way to keep them warm enough to survive unless you have a heated grow area

as others have mentioned the freezing temps would likely kill the plants but IMHO it shouldn't hurt the quality of the bud (after all, one method of long-term storage often recommended is to store your buds in the freezer). just don't handle the plants until they thaw out as the trichomes are fragile when frozen...
