When to start LST?

I would start training as soon as you can. I start right after 3rd node, but in all fairness I also top the plant when I have the 4th node come in. Don't wait to long, or u run the risk of breaking branches and stems.. good luck bro!! :)

hey Qwerty I think Grand is right , I have only manifolded my autos but getting ready to do it to the second group when the plant has four nodes with good growth on the new shoots and tie them down as soon as I can you will only have 3 to 4 weeks before they go into bloom so you do have to work fast

I start ASAP first with kebab sticks just to lean them over and as they get larger I do the same as OJH seams to do the trick as long as grow is going well.

I don't think it really matters much when to start training your plants, as long as they are growing healthy like Potted says.

I have started LST when the seedling was about 1&1/4" before. See my Jack Herer grow journal .
I usually wait until they are better rooted and any of the above advise will work, as long as the stems are flexible.

Also, when doing LST , I bend them over and WAIT for the seedling to respond, if I am going to defoliate. < sage advise from Green75.
