What should the mix ratio of perlite and basic potting soil be?

Greetings, fellow growers. I wish to start an overlapping grow of the same seed strain that I'm growing now. See pics. I am realizing, as this current grow is the 2nd one I've done w/ this soil, that I don't like the drainage, plus, I feel oxygen penetration isn't as good as it probably could be. That's why I wish to work w/ perlite for the 1st time. I'm asking for suggestions as to what the ratio should or about be, by volume. I realize this info is likely on the perlite bag, but I haven't bought it yet. Plus, I doubt there are specific ratios for weed growers listed on the bag. lol So, asking others that use perlite mixed with soil seems appropriate. :-)

I have tried a number of different mixtures, all the way to 50/50 and have settled on a 70-75% soil with 25-30% perlite as my preference.
 
Yes I use ffof which comes with perlite. I add at least 20% more. Starting to wonder if Im the only one who still likes that soil though. Works like a champ for me.
 
That seems like great soil. I just don't have that product anywhere near me, and I don't want to order online. My one plant is looking real good in basic soil that I use. I'm starting 2 more seeds in the same soil, but I'll be adding the perlite for the 1st time.

It's recommended to add perlite so it makes up around 10-50% of the total volume of potting mix.

Add 10-20% perlite if you want better water retention and don't plan on using a lot of extra nutrients. This is because a lot of extra perlite can cause the nutrients leach out faster from the soil as water drains through easily.

Add 30-50% perlite if you plan to use a lot of added nutrients or supplements and are looking to get the fastest growth from your plants.

I have used many types of perlite including Epsoma, Black Gold, Shultz and even Miracle-Gro perlite. Any 8-quart bag of perlite will work. Perlite can often be found in garden stores or the garden section of home improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowes. I normally advise against all things Miracle-Gro, but their 8-quart bag of perlite is okay if you can't find anything else."

I bought a 56l bag of the Viragro perlite, and some organic potting soil w/o any added nutrients, like I'm using now. I just put 2 more of my Aurora Indica seeds in cup, today. So excited.

I'm thinking of doing 30-35% perlite mixture.
