What kind of insect is this?

Can anyone please tell me what this is. I can't find them anywhere?

It's a type of jumping bug, I read an entomology book on them, they're attracted to extremely bright light, I can't remember if it's harmful to cannabis or not, although I'd catch him and throw him out before an issue arises just in case!:)
 
They're called leafjumpers. They come in every color possible. They reproduce and eat from the plant. When you try to grab them they run and hide behind the stem. Sounds correct?
 
Yes correct the specific one I have is called a blue green sharpshooter, could they cause serious issues? Like my previous post on here "please help not sure what's up" could thesr cause the symptoms I'm having?
 
sorry theyre called leafhoppers haha i found this on GWE http://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-leafhoppers i have personally had them before, they never where a real threat to the plants health neither i found damage like in the pictures, but im guessing if it gets out of control could be a catastrophic scenario, seems like spinosad is the best, i havent used it i just kill them with my hands

Ok I love having feedback and all but why tell me sorry there called something different when I said I found out what they are. Yes they are a leaf hopper but the specific kind i have is a blue green sharpshooter. That's like saying I have mites well ok what kind?. I'm sorry I was being specific. If I'm not mistaken that's what the forum said be specific as possiable. At first o didn't know what they were someone gave me a suggestion and i ran with it and started digging into Google till I found it. Also they can be harmful to your plants. Just an FYI. I'm now trying to find the best way to get rid of them I don't want to use neen oil so any other suggestions would be great. The picture provide shows what it is. Thank you for the help. Here is a website that list the damage they can cause. look up and research pierces disease.

ohhh just because i said leafjumpers earlier i wanted to correct myself, leafhopers is the name we call all the similar species from the same family that look and behave fairly the same, like i said GWE reccomends spinosad and some other things just check the link i gave you
 
I seen that link last night then I found the specific one and said they are similar and I didn't know if treatment was the same. Something is attacking my girls and I can't figure it out
 
Don't worry I get it :) treatments are the same for this species and most of them like spinosad or neem oil are for a wide spectrum of bugs and pest. Good luck
 
🌱 What does the damage on the leaves look like? If it doesn't look like the damage from a leafhopper, perhaps you have a second bug that's actually making the marks, and this guy is just a visitor that's not doing too much? Seeing the bites can really help us pin down the bug! 🌱
