What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

I Don't have filtered water, just tap. No problems actually but am I wasting my time using microbials since I
cant filter the water as yet? I know that it has Chloramin in it and is around 200ppm.

Hello, I’m wondering if this is a sufficient cloning environment? The ends of the cuttings are at a node cut at 45° dipped in gel then powder. And put into a seedling strength 6.0ph water mix. In humidity dome with a seed heat Mat under. Is it critical to shade the water from all light or will the styrofoam on top provide enough light shade? It’s under a 25w t8. Thanks look forward to your replies!

I have a few big questions, but the first I would like to start with is plant growth stages. Help me out with some thoroughly detailed info so I can plan steps?

If you’re sprouting Humbolt blue dream using the paper towel method, when do you plant or transfer? (Feminized)

Once planted in a solo in soil with drainage, in a dome with full light 24/0 seven days a week under “plant spectrum” cfl, when do you transfer? How long does that take most people? (Sunshine pro soil)

After you transfer to a veg area, in air pots, how long do you veg under a 300 to 600 watt COB LED? (might need a bit of help understanding the specs on lights - more on that later...) LST method to control height.

After switching to 12/12 how long till you see a reasonable bud growth? Not just one bract... but a bud of size.... say 1/4 inch? Also do you switch nutes right when you change the light schedule? (Advance sensi, big bud, candy and overdrive).

BLACKJACK fem Nirvana 9-11 wks Medium" THC 15-20%, CBD 5% +

CANNATONIC fem Resin Sds 9-10 wks Med" THC 10-15%, CBD 10% but varies.

Significant variation of chemotypes: some very high CBD, some low, etc. Mix together for a 1:1.

Genetics: Super Skunk x White Widow; ind. dom.
Effects: Calming, long-lasting, relaxing, soothing, sleep aid.

LITHIUM OG KUSH fem Nirvana 8-10 wks 25-45" THC 10-15%, CBD 1-5%
Genetics: OG Kush x Master Kush.
Effects: Calming, anxiolytic qualities, uplifting and euphoric in nature--a natural anti-depressant.

O.G. KUSH fem photo RQS 8 wks 24-36" THC 19%, CBD 5-10%?
Genetics: Chemdawg x Lemon Thai x Pakistani Kush; Sa 25% In 75%
Effects: Champion of medical marijuana; relaxing. Anxiety disorders and panic attacks, stress, chronic pain, depression, PTSD, muscle spasms.
This plant has high nutritional needs, particularly nitrogen and magnesium. The most obvious trait of OG Kush is its strong, unique, very dank, slightly citrus aroma. Grow alone because of nute needs.

I've grown the Cannatonic and the Lithium OG Kush; the others are waiting to be grown. The Cannatonic plant was so small that I took the bud along with some of the Lithium OG Kush, some White Widow and some Iced Grapefruit and made a tincture, which gets me high at the beginning (couple of hours of a very nice buzz) and then smoothes out into a relaxed, pain free day.

IMO, when the breeders write up the description of each strain, I think they often sound like car salesmen trying to snag buyers. Each strain sounds more fantastic than the last one. But I never underestimate the differences in effects that will occur from one person to the next, so I think the bottom line is for each person to find the strains that suit him/her the best. Like if you want really high THC and high CBD and also good for PTSD, put that into your search on Seedsman, and a list of strains will come up.
 
alltatup, I see a pattern. Nice menu. I haven't even looked at a commercial site yet for anything. I worked with the guy who started high times way back when Lived in holland for 2 years too, But never put any serious thought into growing. This is a new trip for me. TANX !
 
I ordered Black Jack and Wonder Woman from Nirvana, I will be following Nebula and Sirius's grow instruction thanks for breaking it down so well. Because of the detail you included I've learned what data I needed to decide
 
After the first month to 12/12 switch,when stretching has really quit, and you've LST'D your plant, would you still keep the stems held down with your ties or release them free?
 
Hey Cola, the whole point of lst is to separate those colas so each one has "breathing" space, good air circulation. So whatever will keep them like that is what you want to do. ;-}
 
Morning Cola, yeah, if they aren't in the way what are the ties hurting, it helps keep your buds from touching other buds,
 
IF the difference between true, living, organic soil and a product like Fox Farms Ocean Forest is the live population of microorganisms that are actively eating the "dirt" and feeding the plant, which I understand FFOF lacks because it is sterilized during the manufacturing process: DOES adding a live culture product like Bush Doctor Microbe Brew give you pretty much the same thing?

Yea true, you are right. Guess I read somewhere saying don't start LST in flower but maybe my head got confused and thought any LST in flowering was bad.idk maybe I felt bad for them always being tied down. But no worries, I'll be setting them free w the scissors soon,free from their stems then free floating in the wind, when it goes up in smoke that is
 
Hi Paracelcus, that's an awesome name. I read those tutorials and I understand the difference between organic soil plus nutrients, and live soil. My question is does adding a live culture to a regular organic soil "bring the soil to life?"
