What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

So in finishing this crop, most hairs are brown and a few trichs are Amber, I've heard changing my light cycle from 12/12 to 10/14 and later to 8/16 will speed them up and make them more plump and sticky- any truth to that?

It won't make buds more plump (in fact they may be slightly less plump because you're reducing the number of hours of light they get and light = food for your buds), but it will cause them to mature faster, because the short days make the plant "think" winter is coming. It can be really helpful if you've got a strain that just doesn't seem to want to finish. Indoor? It's irrelevant- outdoor? Depends, I'm in alaska and always start outside and finish indoor, just have to spray the room and keep an eye out for bugs
 
I just got a new DWC setup , that came with startup nutrients {Rocket grow & bloom ),the problem is the supply not enough to complete the grow.. Asked around and nobody heard of it , seem like i can only order a resupply on eBay .
question : if i switch the nutrients to another brand like RX Grow & Bloom when i get ready to switch to 12/12, will this harm the plants. growing 2 white widow i plan on flipping in 13 more days . today is 18 days Veg. i topped them yesterday .
 
It's okay to switch nutrient systems partway through the grow. However, you should never mix two nutrients together because they can react with each other in the water. But that just means you need to do a full reservoir change if you do decide to switch nutrients. It's possible the plant may react slightly (especially if you give much higher or lower overall nutrient levels than before), but as long as you're giving a good amount the plant shouldn't show much difference.
 
Thank You NebulaHaze....That information just took my worries away, when i flip them i full reservoir change and switch to RX bloom which i have plenty of
 
The # of plants depends on if they are autos or photoperiod plants (Autos are smaller and need less room.) and the size of the plants you want to grow. (3 gal pot vs 10 gal pot / 4 weeks of veg vs 12 weeks of veg etc.) Here is a quote from the GWE website. "A 1000W ballast is slightly less efficient than a 600W lights and will cover an area of about 4' x 4' (1.2m x 1.2m) up to about 5' x 5' (1.5m x 1.5m). The further your light from the plants, the less powerful the brightness but the greater and area the light will cover." So however many plants you can fit in that 5'x5' space. A good, relatively high yielding strain that is very easy to grow indoors is Northern Lights. Yield is also very dependent on training and I highly recommend you check out the website tutorial on maximizing yields. Great luck to you on your indoor set up!
 
Thank u. I have aprox a 5x12 grow area with the 2 1000w lights. As of now I'm growing 18 plants. all my plants were vegged for 4 weeks except 1, I vegged the 1 plant for 6 weeks just to see what the diffence would be....and wow what a diffence!! Ya i used topping and LST to get as many colas as possible.
it's been a long time since I tasted northern lights. I'll search for some clones or seeds for my future grows.

during the veg stage you can leave your light on 24/0 are you can do a 18 hr of light and 6hr dark if you go that route i would get a light timer for 18 /6im just learning to grow too
