What Is This Gross Looking Pest and How Do I Get Rid of It?

I found this worm looking creature with 4 legs coming out of it head in my drain to waste water. It looks like it is eating a black pest. Anyone know what it is called and how to get rid of them? My index finger tip is shown in one photo to provide a relative size of the thing.

It looks like an odd species of earwig.

And they aren't harmful to plants.

Jesus, that is evil.
I encountered collembola in my reservoir once. Freaked me the hell out. Thought I was going to lose my crop, turns out they were not so harmful to plants anyway!

That looks pretty close just a little different coloring.
It doesn't look like an earwig to me because it doesn't have the rear pincher looking things.

I agree with Tika, looks to be a termite. No prob for your plants but you might want to have somebody check out your house, so the roof doesn't cave in. LOL
