What is the PROPER term

for describing the...I don't like " odor" of weed? Fragrance? Bouquet? Aroma? Scent? Nose? When you know it is weed. What is the word?
However: I have a funny story;
i was working someone's house in my neighborhood early morning..sniff sniff. Who' s blowing weed I ask myself ( and all the typical questions went thru my head like greased lightening)

their two sleeping King Charles Cavaliers...in the next second air walked off their sofa from a thoroughly sound sleep as they are ilk to do and bolted out the door
indeed...skunk.
i had a really good laugh.
sometimes in the night i bolt upright thinking " my shit is on fire" but indeed it is skunk proper.
because of my dogs they no longer come inside the fence at my house but they do cruise the perimeter.
they are "Gun Dogs"...a nose for vermin.

i was just looking at your germination issue. I have my own anal process that works for me if you are interested I do the same thing each time and if I don't get a germ from it I know it isn't me. If you are interested let me know and I will post long hand

a hippy friend of mine sucks on his seeds while he prepares his pots and dirt....says it helps break down the shell casing...our saliva ....dude grows some dank ass weed
 
When I can finish this simple but long narration it will be numbingly plain..but..it works...4 me

this process is from GWE with personal attention
 
So
I use a heat mat
germination dome+ tray
root riot or rapid rooter
containers for plugs i.e. Root riot

i set the unit up in my bathroom where it is usually dark
plug in heat mat. Put plugs into trays
i spray the already moist plugs with ph 6 water a little
i put my seed into the hole of the plug that I made a bit larger POINTy end down about 1/4 inch only. 1 seed per plug and label it squeeze plug a little
after I have completed the seeds I want to germinate
I spray the upper side of my dome with ph 6 water close it. Turn off lights
each morning I spray ph 6 on the underside of dome
3 days I lift the plug with tweezers to check for root on the bottom end of plug
usually 3-5 days roots appear.
i have preprepared Dixie cups with my coco coir mix moistened with ph 6 water, holes punched into Dixie cup bottoms to drain/ half filled only
when cotyledons or roots appear i transfer plug gently to 1/2 filled dixies, surround with coco to edge of rooter only
spray with ph 6 water the stomata ( underside of leafs) spray the coco coir
then they go to vege lights ( I do 24/7) pioneer flourescent with best bulbs
only circle the coco with ph 6 water a bit. Spray
when the girl gets stem tall I add more pre moistened coco covering stem and nearly filling Dixie cup
then start seedling nutrients via GWE 2 days later..never over water
when she gets 2 sets of real leaves she goes into ( (they go into) their 5 gal prefilled coco pots
seedling feed only so immediate roots take hold..increase feeding Finally to get waste..that is the difficult part.

since this I'd the first time I have expressed this I will probably find loop holes in my verse BUT I really do have a 98% germination rate
this I can do.

Tika I love your method

BUT my hydro I just started has rapid rooter in hydroton drop seed in , cup over for the warmth 3 to 5 days baby is up and I just looked my 5 day old has roots in the tub and going for it LOL
I don't have to transplant it ...

I do love the way you care for your plants! 10 gold stars !

About the smell my boyfriend says it's pungent in here .....I always laugh at that word
 
Is darkness important?

I just felt my plugs that have been in my "Nirvana Propagator Pro2" and they are wet and cool to the touch, not warm.
The plugs fully saturated; I wonder if my seeds are drowned after a week. :/

I like it all except the no light....I have found that close light when they emerge stops them from stretching. Nodes really tight.

Bet that took awhile to word than type it out...thanks tika for sharing...
 
Yes.. as soon as they emerge they go to light but still stretch 4 me

Great work Tika. Thanks for taking time to be so creative for us. Filling the solo cup no more than 3/4 full of soil is a very good tip. As those girls stretch and reveal that long slender stem, you prop them up with more soil. By then they usually have their second of leaves and are well on their way.
