I agree with this assessment. I think there will always be a niche connoisseur market. Almost all products have multiple tiers of quality for money.

Look at whiskey. There's multiple price points from $5 hooch to $350 18 year old single malt scotch and everywhere in between. Most buy the $20-25 whiskey which is the same place I see large scale grows settling in at.
 
Yes, I think they don't have a thing to worry about. Growing is fun, but not alway easy, those who have been doing it a long time know how to do it right and produce good quality! It remains to be seen how good the mega farms will be.
