Journal Entry

Strains:

White Thunder x2
Sour Ripper
Blue Dream

Environment:

4x4 Tent
(2) 6 inch clip fans
(2) 8 inch oscillating fans
(1) 6 inch intake
(1) 6 inch exhaust
Humidity Controller
Temperature Controller
Heater (for seedlings)
Heating Pad (for seedlings)
Humidifier (for seedlings)
Dehumidifier (for flower)

Will be germinated by soaking (in maxi-crop solution) and the paper towel method (soaked with the maxi-crop and dusted with OregonismXL) on the heating pad.

Will start in 16 oz solo cups then will be transferred to their final home in 3 gallon fabric pots. If needed will transplant to 5s for flower. Will use OregonismXL at every transplant.

Soil will be the local blend I have previously used. Mixed with 40% perlite. I have already leached the soil of all initial nutrients.

Nutes for the Sour Ripper, Blue Dream and (1) White Thunder will be the full Advanced Nutrients Line.

(1) White Thunder will be feed with strictly Mega Crop as a controlled grow between the 2 plants. Testing Mega Crop to see if I like the results over AN. If I have to add cal/mag I will just use ANs. Mega Crop does not produce one.

I will be foliar feeding with SNS supplements every 5 days during veg and every 5 days during weeks 1-3 of flower. Using their foliar instructions.

As for food levels and feeding intervals. I am going to feed 100% manufacturers recommended doses every third water. For all 3 AN, Mega Crop and SNS.

Plants are going to be vegged for 1.5 months and then put into flower.

Training Method will be a variation of the X-ifold I did on the last grow. I will just be switching up what growth shoots I take during training.

Light cycle will be 18/6.

Lights:

Seedlings will be started under (1) JC Brit 100 watt full spectrum led.
Early veg will be under (2) JC Brit's.
Late veg and flower will be under (2) King full spectrum 1000's. With possibly (1 or 2) JC Brit added in for support lighting (Temperature factor decides).

I like two of the three!
Pot size seems smallish for soil and a 6 week veg, but I trust that you have considered this.

Campesino

That's something thats been in the back of my mind as well. It was a tough decision to go with the 3s. The 7s last grow were far too large. The main thing that made me go with the 3s is I was told a fabric 3 can grow the same size plant as a plastic 5. But I also think I will buy a set of fabric 5s... Just in case.

Yeah, Humidity is the issue, right?
I am sure you could get away with 3 gallons of Coco, but 3 gallons of soil does seem small enough to possibly limit growth. It will have benefits too though like quicker drying, more frequent watering, and lower RH. Depends on what you need to balance.
If I were in soil, I would step through 3 gallon bags as part of transplant regime, so going into them is not a problem at all, you just may want to step up after them.

Yes, humidity is/will be a problem. SW Michigan has very wet spring and early summer. I might get lucky near end of flower and get some really dry climate.

You are spot on with your reasoning, I went 3s for exactly that. I was going almost a week sometimes longer between waterings with pot size and rh in veg, less when they got bigger. I figure 3s will allow a better watering regiment, more often but less at once as well. I work 2 jobs and dont have the extra hours in the day. But I can fit an hour a night or so if needed.

Maybe keep the 5s on hand and if needed transplant into them a week or so before flipping.

I would love to take some of your dry weather. My electric uptake has been nearly double since hooking up the dehumidifier and extra fans.

Yeah, well it's f'ing humid here now at the worst possible time for me and I am utterly unprepared to deal with it. Like when it snows in Dallas

Yeah, "storms" ... an occasional light drizzle.
61% in my tent right now :(
71% outside
The GG4s are getting their last light cycle now till morning. Plan to harvest Wednesday afternoon. They look good, but perhaps I went too far.

You'll be alright. Are you more worried about letting them go too long over ripness? Or too long because of the weather.. I'm with Locrian99 you are probably fine on the timeframe for the plant. If you are worried about the RH maybe get an extra fan on them for the next couple days if possible and you should be alright. Fingers crossed weather shapes up the next several days for you.

They are on their 67th light cycle.
Well, the one plant is gorgeous with big swelling buds and full of crystals. The other two look old now... brownish and buds seeming to get less dense (some areas look like they want to start foxtailing) - far fewer crystals. But I suppose that is not new, its not like they looked like the other one a week ago. I took a couple pics tonight, I'll post them in my journal

I’ll say this about that gg#4. It’s making me think of the best way to scrape crystals off my curing jar.

Couple things I forgot Im going to use during this grow. I will be updating the initial topic.

But these are all freebies I got from just from checking manufacturers sites so far. There are probably more, I've been doing a bit more research. But for freebies this is what I've recieved.

Mega Crop 230 gram pouch. Enough to do one plant from beginning to harvest. 3.00$ s&h

Roots organics: Buddah Grow and Buddah Bloom 235 ml bottles. I wont be using these this grow. Also from Roots Organic I got Oregonism XL 55 gram pouch. I will be using this. 11.00 $ s&h.

From SNS I got a free 3 part Micro, Grow and Bloom 4 oz of each liquid fertilizer. I will not be using these this grow. Also from SNS I got 2 natural growth supplements one for Roots & Veg. The other for Buds & Flower. 2 4 oz. packages enough for the entire grow. I will be using these following their foliar application instructions this grow. 8.00$ s&h.

I forgot about my mega crop freebie. I’m going to start a plant for a friend for outdoors. I’m going to use megacrop and give him my sample to see how it does. Lol. Guinea pig.
