I am growing in a tent and keep the back vent flap open for circulation. The tent is in a room with a furnace that has some light coming from a couple of relays, will this light affect the flowering stage?

Any light but green will effect your plants. Tape all little leds off with electrical tape.

Probably yes. It's not written in stone that it will. There are a lot of factors- most importantly the basic genetic stability of the strains you're growing. Also the consistenty (timing) of the light and its color. If the light is steady in the same place for the entire grow cycle it seems like there's a good chance plants will get used to it and ignore it.
A green light won't bother plants. Red lights seem to be the worst.
My direct experience is that light leaks in flowering lead to hermaphrodite problems. Many other people have had that problem too. Other people haven't.
Safest to just cover them up and avoid all light leaks during flowering.

Plants in the wild rarely experience total darkness. Starlight and moonlight... As indoor growers we like to create as perfect a growing environment as we can, so we try to eliminate all light. I don't have any light sources in my tents, but I do have a few power LEDs, etc. in the rooms, and at least one open vent in the tents. I don't worry about it.

If you worry about your vent hole just attach two pvc 90degree elbows as wise as the openin keeping the ari flowing but the light doesn't come troug. Just like an "s"

We're not talking about a glaring green light. We talking about a small light, like on a computer or something like that. Or a small green bulb flashlight.
